This has been a fun year to be an NFL draft enthusiast. The depth of the class left quite a few gems to be found in the 7th (good year to have 6) and FA. Hope you enjoy.

Now, keeping in mind how statistically bad we were on defense last year, I took off all offensive players from the first 3 priority picks, leaving my top 3 to Jadeveon Clowney, Khalil Mack and Aaron Donald. Dominique Easley is a close 4th. Not a Barr fan at all. That's not to say I wouldn't take Watkins or Mathews at 16, but being so bad on D and losing our two shining stars on the line to FA leaves Jerry no other choice but to make some moves. So...

Trade: The Dallas Cowboys Trade their 1st(16), 3rd(78), 2015 2nd and 4th, 2016 2nd and 4th to St. Louis for 1st(2)

1st (2) - Khalil Mack WDE, Buffalo -
Jadeveon will be the 1st pick, and without Ware on the roster, Dallas is without a star pass rusher. we trade bank, but we have a rushmen who has the ability to be a terror on Day 1. That, and this is the Washington RG3 pick; its only fitting that we trade bank for the pick that will hopefully knock him on his butt 5-6 times a year. Him and Donald were the two most exciting players to watch this year, but with Melton on the roster, WDE is clearly the biggest hole on the line. I would buy the jersey.

2nd (47) - Joel Bitonio OG/OT, Nevada - I neglected watching much tape on this kid until someone wrote on my last mock to give him another look. Very solid talent, and he slips in my draft with Gabe Jackson, Sua Filo, and Trai Turner going ahead. Being our only 2nd day pick, we should go into Saturday knowing that we greatly improved each of our lines.

4th (119) - Bruce Ellington WR, South Carolina - This was the first receiver I was able to watch this year. It was the bowl game and I believe he had 2 TDs and quite a few receptions. A few things I noticed was his fluidity as an athlete, his natural catching ability and more importantly his ability to be open when his QB was in trouble. Would be a terror in the slot. A steal in the 4th.

5th (158) - Ken Bishop 1DT, NIU - Another guy I was referred to by someone on the forum. Quick, strong 1 tech that could easily get reps in the first game if he is as advertised. Embarrassed the OL in his highlight video. great pickup for the rebuilding line.

7th (229) - El hadji Ndiaye WDE, Nebraska-Kearney- An incredible athlete that gives great depth to the line. 6-5 255 runs a 4.4

7th (231) - Senorice Perry RB, Louisville- Tall, lanky, change of pace back. Reminds me a lot of Taiwan Jones from Oakland.

7th (238) - Khairi Fortt ILB, Cal- Long armed, strong LB who could develop into something.
http://youtu.be/tRQ2hhZhbiA

7th (248) - Garrett Gilbert QB, SMU- Visited with Dallas. Looks like a better prospect than Jeff Mathews from Cornell, who I had slotted here prior.

7th (251) - Gabe Lynn CB/S, Oklahoma- This kid likes to hit. Immediate ST contributor.
http://youtu.be/5a4uy1obUxg

7th (254) - Corey Miller SDE, Tennessee- 4.5 sacks in his last game to break Reggie White's record at the school. He is recovering from a calf injury, but looks like he could contribute as a rushmen if and when he's healthy.

Priority FA
1. Greg Hickman DT/DE, FIU-
A 280 lb. DT who's quick enough to cover TEs in College. Welcome to Rushmen U, young man.

2. Kevin Pamphile OT, Purdue- A quick swing tackle that's rising up boards.

3. Jeremy Butler WR, UT-Martin- Love this kid. Good catcher and Anquan Boldin tough.
http://youtu.be/m40fF6yrdQM

4. Ryan Jones C/OG, San Jose State- Good Depth.
http://youtu.be/MLbpzuq_obg

5. Mohammed Selsay CB, Nebraska- Tall, lanky CB. Older video of him.
http://youtu.be/_pOS05Lw3Lo

6. Colt Lyerla TE, Oregon- Think he'll be long gone by now, but what's a Dallas off season without a new TE.

7. Kevin Palmer OT, Baylor

8. Pierre Warren S, JSU

9. Kevin Greene OLB/TE, USC

10. Shawn Shuppard SDE/DT, Eastern Kentucky

1 Trade------Trade B.W. Webb to the Eagles for David King, DT. Guy I was wanting last year that I think could improve the line. Sorry B.W.

I like the creativity, but way too expensive. We can't afford to lose those future picks.

At least it was creative.

On a standard value chart, that trade leaves us about 900 pts shy. Though I realize the charts are just a guide and rarely exact, that is a long ways off..actually almost the equivalent of this years 18th pick.
lol..so it would take all of that plus the 18th pick this year if apples and apples.

FWIW,
2015 2nd = 2013 3rd
2016 2nd = 2013 4th

With all respect, looks more like a nightmare than a dream... Mack is best suited to play OLB on a 34 defense.

love mack, best player in the draft IMO...but, not worth a king's ransom @ #2...(no one is)...if he falls to around #10 (he won't), then make a play for him...

Interesting. I did a trade up for Claiborne mock a few years back on draft day, people said it would never happen, It was crazy etc. You never know with Jerry. If he has an opportunity to get the best WDE on the board (besides clowney) he will. I don't think it will happen, because we are so far away compared to where we thought we were, when we picked Claiborne. We'll see.
