Glancing at the remaining games on the schedule, seven of the next eight are against NFC Conference teams. While the three division losses are bad (remeber we were 3-3 last season), there's a good chance we can control our own destiny atleast for a wild card spot. :star:

We are a 500 team. We will go 4-4 in the last half of the season to finish 8-8 and 16-16 over the next two years. 32-32 over the next 4. 64-64 over the next... well you know.:

1 game at a time bro. :) Controlling our destiny starts with a win in Arizona. If we lose that game, I may have to shoot myself, three times, in the arm, because I certainly wouldn't want to die, just need something to think about instead of the Boys losing.

Gotta go 6-2. Problem is that the games we'll have a tough time with are Indy, @NYG, New Orleans, Philly and @Atlanta. If they can manage to go 3-2 and not screw up the other games (Zona, Detroit, and Tampa) they'll probably make the playoffs.

I think our main competition for the playoffs is Philly, Minnesota, Carolina, Atlanta, and either the Seahawks or the Rams.

Ever since they've gone to 8 divisions, I don't think any division has had 3 teams go to the playoffs in one season. So either Carolina or Atlanta should be cancelled out. I don't think the Rams and the Seahawks will both have a good enough record to be a wildcard, so only 1 team will probably make it from the NFC West.

That leaves us down to Philly and Minny. While Dallas has their fair share of issues, I think they are in better shape than Minnesota. Philly will probably win their next two games, going 6-4 with Dallas probably beating Zona and then finding a way to lose to Indy, putting Dallas one game back 2 weeks from now. Then Philly hits a pretty brutal stretch of games.

Washington has an outside shot of making it as well. But they are still 3-5 and now they play Philly at Philly with the Eagles coming off a bye week. Reid has only lost once coming off a bye week (the Super Bowl game). That would put the Skins at 3-6 and probably having to win 7 in a row to make the playoffs.

Have always said that the game in Atlanta will be for a chance to go to the playoffs. We must be in contention when we go there, and must win there too. If we lose there, it will be over. Send in the clowns.

I think this team is capable of winning against any of these teams; the problem is we are very capable of losing to each of these teams if we continue to shoot ourselves in the foot.
