First, let's just imagine how the Commanders would handle this weeks game had they been 13-2 with home field already decided for them. The mere thought of eliminating Dallas and sending them home in a meaningless game for them would be like an added special treat.

That's how the Cowboys should treat it. End the Skins season at their own place with alot of second string players. Nothing like crushing their season long hopes that now lie in the Cowboys hands, then waving to all the fans as you leave, wishing them a Happy New Year at home, watching Dallas stake claim to the division for the forseable future.

No Mercy.

Merry Christmas

I agree dfense. I was watching NFLN this a.m. and Belichick was being interviewed and was asked about resting starters v.s. playing for 16-0. His respons was the pats are going to treat this like any other game. They will prepare and play just as they would for any other game.

This is what winners do. This is why I'm not in favor of "resting starters" unless they are injured. The late Bill Walsh used to say (when he was coaching the 49ers) that "we owe it to the rest of the teams trying to make the POs to be as competitive as possible, because they would expect that in the same situation." My dream would be for our bkups to beat Washington so that we'd know for sure that we can go on even if somebody else gets hurt...
