Really people should put things in perspective with TW. With a running game and being the 2nd WR he just isn't going to get the ball a lot. He is ahead of Alvin Harper so far in his career also.

Alvin Harper
1991 20 326 16.3avg 39L 1TD
1992 35 562 16.1avg 52L 4TD
1993 36 777 21.6avg 80TD 5TD
1994 33 821 24.9avg 90L 8TD

Terrence Williams
2013 44 736 16.7avg 82TD 5TD
2014 37 621 16.8avg 51L 8TD

Hate to break it to you but it's not the early 90's anymore....comparing a WR then and now is just silly. T Will needs to step up, all there is to it.

I hate to break it to you when you run the ball as much as they do there is no difference.

Cowboys 2013 Pass Attempts- 586
Cowboys 2014 Pass Attempts- 476

Cowboys 1992 Pass Attempts- 491
Cowboys 1993 Pass Attempts- 475
Cowboys 1994 Pass Attempts- 448

And you're not even considering the extreme rules changes in the passing game since that time. T Will should be getting open more, all there is to it. Now if you want to question the scheme and route designs that's 1 thing....but that's a whole different discussion.

You proved my point. 476, 491, 475, 448 passes. There is just one ball to go around. He is a role guy. Dez and Witten are higher targets and even Wittens numbers are down.

The only reason so many people hate PFF is because they see a number and assume it tells the whole story.

A few thoughts on offense:
  • Tyler Clutts: YOU HAD ONE JOB!
  • Terrance Williams really disappeared during the middle of the season
  • Forget the grades: Gavid Escobar had 28% fewer snaps than Hanna? Yikes
  • Lots of victory formations for J.J. Wilcox
  • Ronald Leary is clearly the Cowboys' biggest liability in the passing game
  • So Jeremy Parnell surpassed Doug Free's cumulative grade on 328 fewer snaps, and they're both free agents? Hmmm...
  • Demarco Murray is nice, but that run blocking tho
And defense:
  • Nick Hayden must have pictures of somebody on the coaching staff
  • Brandon Carr is just thieving from Jerry Jones--but you already knew that
  • Without Ragonk, the linebacking corps' pass coverage is downright awful
  • Is the Cowboys' need for pass rushers really greater than their need for secondary help?
  • Tyrone Crawford demonstrates why the sack statistic is overrated
  • Henry Melton is probably not worth the option in his contract, but that's a lot of pass rush (and no run defense) in limited snaps

PFF is garbage
It's too bad because the concept of having a grade for all players is good.

It would be nice to have a very simple and transparent grading system. When I grade a player, I just use Pass, Fail or Undetermined.

It would be easy for anybody to review my grades for a game to see if they were reasonably accurate; however, you can't really do that with PFF from what I can see with their grading system.

The biggest thing that makes me wonder about their grading is it is done within 24 hours and without all 22. Just doesn't seem like you can accurately do all that grading quickly without a massive staff and especially without all 22 its almost impossible to grade DBs.

I may be wrong, but don't coaches grade players after every game? I don't think they use pass/fail and I think their grading criteria may be even more subjective than PFF; Marinelli's "Loafs" for example.

That's context, which is more useful than just saying "PFF sucks".
