12. Sonny Styles - LB - Ohio St: The draft gods shine a light on Dallas and let Styles fall. Eagles traded up in the mock to draft OT from Miami. With two OT and two WR going - Styles was there for the taking. He still has some things to learn but the upside is HUGE.
20. The usual players were left - no big falls here - Seatle offered 32,64 and 96 to move up to 20. I couldn't pass that up. This lets Dallas fall right into the strength of the draft.
32. Colton Hood - CB - Tenn: He'll become a fan favorite right away. Versatile CB who seems to love the game. Smart kid with lots of upside still.
64. Caleb Banks - DT - Florida: I've passed on him in most my mocks as the foot injuries worry me...but the talent is there. If he can stay healthy this is a HR pick for Dallas.
92. Bud Clark - S - TCU: Little older - played 6 yrs at TCU - so he comes ready to produce right away in the NFL. Future ball hawk FS.
96. LT Overton - DE - Alabama: Missing out on a lot of the DE's early on, former 5 star recruit is there for the taking. Lot's to work with in terms of natural talent. Plays the run better at the moment, but could develop into a power rusher off the edge.
112. Harold Perkins Jr. - LB - LSU: Another player that I've passed on some but gonna roll the dice here. Athletic as anyone off the edge, but limited by his size. He's gonna be a pass rush only at this point...and might be too small, but worth the shot.
152. Isaiah World - OT - Oregon: Was likely going to be a 2nd rounder who fell due to torn ACL. Still a little raw but there is a lot to work with. He was abused pretty bad by Tech in the playoffs...but if he develops, he'll be a good one.
177. Michael Taaffe - S - Texas: Extremely smart player. Would be a special teams ace at minimum with a chance to turn into a very good safety.
180. Red Murdock - LB - Buffalo: Has put up excellent numbers with Buffalo, including setting the record for forced fumbles at 17. I don't know if this translates to the NFL, but worth a shot.
218. Cade Klubnik - QB - Clemson: Huge fall for the former 5 star out of Westlake (Taaffe is his former teammate from there as well). I'm picking him here and developing. Clemson was a mess by the end of the year - Dabo hated the portal and it showed. There is something about him though...maybe just a career backup, maybe more...but once again, worth the shot.
Conclusion: Risky draft for Dallas. Lots of potential, where if they pan out - this draft could reset the franchise with new controllable talent. Probably not everyone's cup of team - but Dallas needs to hit a couple future starters in this draft to help with the potential cost of having Dak, CD and GP locked up.
