1-Michael Mayer TE Notre Dame
2-Zach Charbonnet RB UCLA
3-Jaquelin Roy DT LSU
4-Antonio Mafi G UCLA
5-Mekhi Gardner CB LSU
6-Clayton Tune QB Houston
7-Braden Willis TE/FB Oklahoma

Think we can expect a heavy, offensive draft, especially focused on fixing their run game and being able to become more balanced.

I've got close to the same.

1. Darnell Washington
2. Jonathan Mingo
3. Jaquelin Roy
4. Kendre Miller
5. Antonio Mafi
6. Mekhi Garner
7. Clayton Tune

I had Willis too but as a FA.

As we get closer to the draft, a TE in the first round just has me saying "ehhhhhh". Mayer may start but honestly is he going to move the needle? Not really. Washington? He can block but it might take him a few years to become a real good pass catcher.

I am praying for a surprise fall or an OL at 26.

I forgot where I saw it on twitter, might of been a retweet to Broaddus, 5 targets at 26: Robinson, Mayer, Wright, Sanders, Avilia. They all are at low valued positions. After what I read about Wright with those anonyomus scouts, I want to stay far away.

I am very disappointed in you. What happened to our boys Forbes and McDonald? You turned me to the dark side and now you chickened out.  I think they would take Mingo/Tilman over running back in the 2nd. Just to much value down the line at back. I could see the rest playing similar except for the quarterback.

-Hearing McDonald is one of the hottest prospects right now, with so many visits he had to cancel some.
-I feel Forbes is also going to be off the board and may even be the 3rd or 4th taken at the position.
-I went RB early as I know this team values the position, Charbonnet is a legitimate bell cow, similar to D'Marco Murray.
-3rd/5th rounds I toyed with flip flopping the positions with Rush at 90 and Macy in the 5th.

I am only messing with you. Any prospect the Cowboys seem to be linked to in early April always jumps up boards. I think McDonald is going before Ness and the Clemson defensive end. I think Forbes is the 3rd corner taken. I don’t think a consensus 1st round prospect makes it to 26 unless you count Gibbs as one.

There's going to be a similar outpouring of love as there was last year if its not Wright!!!....someone's not reading the positional value memo.

Can you elaborate on that?

I can live with this ........just not sure they would wait and address the G position with a day-3 pick. We need that position addressed way more than DT.

In McGinn's writeups, some scouts took shots at his work ethic. Said he's not a bad kid persay but has some character issues (entitlement, for example) that show up in his work ethic (lack thereof). But many noted that when he wants to play, he's dominant. Shut down whoever he blocked in both the Bama and UGA games. Basically, the kid could be a future Hall of Famer or a guy who bounces around the league for years on his talent alone having not done much to actually improve.

I love McGinn's stuff but I do wonder with his popularity and respect in league circles, some of these scouts undersell a guy as part of a campaign to see if they can get a guy to slide.

You don't have to sell me. He's my "I hope he's there at 26" guy.

But sadly, every single year there's a guy who he mocks show might get to us and he ends up getting taken long before us. Granted, he never turned into a great DE, but I was crushed when Philly took Derek Barnett. I was hoping he'd slide to us.
It just paints a completely opposite picture compared to what McGinn was claiming. And his line coach should know him better than any ‘anonymous scout’.

Like I said, I do wonder how much funny business there is when you see these prominent draft analysts and reports quoting unnamed scouts.

McGinn has a relationship with Mike McCarthy. Who knows? Maybe it’s coming from us to keep him on the board at 26?
