RD1 Trade down with SF , Dallas gets 31, 34 and 76, Niners gets Dallas 18 and 49 pick.

RD1(31) Sylvester Williams DT UNC
Gives Dallas a young pass rushing Dt to team up with Ratliff, Hatcher and Crawford.

RD2(34) Larry Warford G Kentucky
New starter in Dallas. Very good G, nasty and a little more athletic than Warmack but the same mauler mentality.

RD3 Le'Veon Bell RB Mich ST
RB can push Murray and can spell him and can give the Cowboys that two headed monster they seem to want.

RD3(76) TJ McDonald S USC
Speedy safety who can play all over the field. In the box or back deep.

RD4 John Simon DE Ohio State
Tough DE that can get after the QB. Great depth.

RD5 Zac Dysert QB Miami OH
Perfect guy to develope.

RD6 Nick Kasa TE Colorado
Big blocking TE but can catch the ball too.

Good draft LM

IMO this is very little value for trading down that far so i likely would not do it becasue i doubt Syl Will would be on the board there

however, if he is... this is what i would do

RD1(31) Sylvester Williams DT UNC

RD2(34) DJ Swearinger (FS)
New starter in Dallas at FS.
This might be a little early for him so i might trade down to mid rd 2 and get an extra 4-5 rd pick

RD3 Brian Schwenke or Barrett Jones (OC)
Starter or great competition at OC. If costa starts, he will have earned it

RD3(76) Dallas Thomas (Ten) or Brian Winters (Kent State) (OG)
Very good active and mobile OGs who will start

RD4 Chris Faulk (OT)
Hurt now but eventual starter at OT. Rd 1 talent.

RD5 Josh Boyce (WR)
Great depth eventual starter

RD6 Nick Kasa TE Colorado
Big blocking TE but can catch the ball too.

if i get the extra rd 4 pick (with trade down in 2) I would pick BPA there which could be RB, DE, QB, or other player

this would really rebuild our OL for the long term

Heard Mike Dikta this am say he predicts trade down and Sylvester Williams the pick. Could happen.

Heard numerous reports we do not like McDonald.

I like Zac Dysert he will be a project and he has potential.

I like this a lot - fills plenty of needs, with good upside.

Awesome mock. Especially if I can get Cyprien instead of Swearinger. But that's just me.

What specifically do you like about Cyprien over Swearinger?

I know it's not addressed to me, but...

I fear Swearinger will be a "Roy Williams Type" in the NFL. An intimidator to be sure, but in today's NFL that only gets you fined and suspended. Swearinger isn't a very good coverage safety. He's not gonna have a very good career in the NFL unless he lands in the exact IDEAL situation. And that situation isn't in Dallas. I like Cyprien cuz he's a solid tackler and can cover leaps and bounds better than Swearinger, and we won't have to worry about suspensions for illegal hits.

Good draft LM , and Visionary -- with this trade in mind -- here's what I'd do.

RD1 Trade down with SF , Dallas gets 31, 34 and 76, Niner's gets Dallas 18 and 49 pick.

RD1(31) Jesse Williams DT Alabama -- his pro day, he showed he wasn't as slow as some thought. He is strong as an Ox, and would demand double teams -- freeing up Ware..... also allowing Ratliff and Hatcher to play that 3 tech.

RD2(34) Demontre Moore DE Texas A&M
Spencers replacement with the added insurance of a year of Pro work

RD3 Brian Schwenke or Barrett Jones or Alvin Bailey (OL)
Best interior lineman available.

RD3(76) Phillip Thomas (FS)
Might as well get your ball hawk while you can.

RD4 Christine Michael (RB) Texas A&M
Great strength, descent runner, good blocker -- Murrays backup.

RD5 Chris Faulk (OT)
Hurt now but eventual starter at OT. Rd 1 talent.

RD6 Michael Williams TE Alabama
Big blocking TE

I think you have Swearinger wrong. Swearinger is certainly an intimidating force and a big hitter but not all big hitters can't cover.. Swearinger actually above average in coverage and covered receivers at times in college.. Swearinger can play single high safety as well and covers ground well and takes good angles in coverage..

The penalties and suspensions are a possibility but it's about time we get some mean guys on defense who are passionate and make the offense think twice about running their direction..

Again though.. It is not wise to assume that a guy who hits like Roy Williams autimatically covers like Roy Williams..

Ide be happy with Cyprien or Swearinger but I think people here are selling Swearinger short.. I actually like him as my 2nd best safety after Vaccaro.. His toughness and nastyness is a positive in my opinion.. I'll take a penalty once in a while rather than a bunch of soft guys on defense missing tackles and joking around with the opponent after they make a tackle

I'm willing to bet money Swearinger can't cover AS GOOD as Williams did.

The dude is too stiff. He should probably be converted to LB. He might be able to be a force as a nickel backer.

As a safety, he won't amount to anything.

Drafting McDonald is a major turn off for me but I could live with this. Not sure I buy us trading down that far for anything less than their 2014 first rounder though.

We're kind of giving up a first and 2nd for 2 2nds and a 3rd.

Ill take Rambo over any safety not named Vaccaro. And I would rather take Rambo in the second round and still feel better about my situation at safety than spending a first round pick on Vaccaro.

I dont see S as much of a problem as the trenches. Thats where the problems with this team are. create pressure and Dallas' safeties will look better. Trust that. Protect the middle of the pocket and romo will eat teams alive. I would love Warford and winston on the right side.
