18# with Vaccaro off the board. Cooper is still there, but
Dallas won't invest a #1 with OG. Trade back with SF and pick
up SF's late 2nd.

1st 31# Terron Armstead OT
2nd 47# Jonathan Franklin RB
2nd 61# Sio Moore OLB Via SF
3rd 80# Brian Schwanke C/OG
4th 114# Duke Williams FS
5th 151# Marquis Goodwin WR/Special Teams
6th 185# Bernie Logan DT

FA Targets:
OG Moore

Hard to say if a strong pro day and combine justifies Armstead in the first.
When we look at contracts we need future replacements for certain players that includes Ratliff and Miles. With how strong the RB class is Dallas would be better holding off to the fourth. Sio is a great player great possibility we go for him here. Durant being a stopgap but a good one. I have no proof but I think we will operate with a bpan mentality come draft. Out of all the picks I like Duke. I think he has a high ceiling. Last two picks can't see in this lifetime being there when we pick. Would love to get Moore. Hope it happens. All my opinion of course.

A couple thoughts.

First, some won't like the trade down, but I love it. To me, second rounders are extremely valuable this year, and the trade is about as equal value-wise as you're going to find.

Second, and as a caveat to my first point, if you do decide to trade down and take a value/BPA philosophy over need, you better stick to your board going forward. Terron seems like a reach at 31. I'd personally go Watson or Sly over Terron.

Also, unlike others, I'm not against drafting a RB or WR in the second...BUT, if you are going to do that, the RB or WR better be the BPA. So, if you are going to go with a skill position at 47, I'd mock Lacy or Nuke falling to that point. Neither will likely happen, but that's the only way I'd personally consider drafting a skill player in the second. I also think you may have taken Duke a little high.

Along your lines, this would be my mock:

31: Watson or Sly
47: Lacy or Nuke if we are going skill position. If not, Reid.
61: Frederick
80: Ball (assuming we didn't take a RB in the second).
114: Logan (I doubt he lasts until the 6th).
151: Gragg
185: Zach Line

Fail !

It was reported by the Cowboys own media guy (Mickey) and others that they really wanted to draft Iupati in 2010.

6th 185# Bernie Logan DT
Fail !

It's Bennie not Bernie and he will be drafted somewhere in the 2nd through 4th rounds.

One, I really think Jonathan Franklin is the best RB in the draft, so I think
we are getting value in the second. There have been reports citing him as #1 recently.

FAIL! :bit too dramatic and sounds like roid rage, but anyway:

Bennie instead of Bernie? It's a typo. Get over it. You could deduce from one letter off who it was, no?
CBSsports has him as a 4-5 rounder. I'm saying he drops to the 6th. It's certainly probable. Drafttek has him going in the 5th.

Garrett more recently is quoted as saying they consider not only the position but also the cost and how long they could keep the player on the team. In other words, value at the position that saves them money on a rookie contract and a player/position they are willing to play top-dollar to in order to keep them for eight years+. Given that, IMO, they won't invest a 1st rounder in a guard.

I whatever you dramatic FAIL man.
