OK, let's put away the fact that the playoffs are not a given this year. Imagine this sequence to close some old wounds:

Round 1: Avenge the 1998 loss to the Cardinals
Round 2: Avenge last year's loss to the Giants
Round 3: Avenge the 2003 and 1996 losses to the Panthers (The 96 loss started the 12 year string of no playoff wins)
Super Bowl: Finally, we get the Colts and avenge our first Super Bowl defeat.

It would be safe to say that many veteran Cowboys fans would die happy if this happened this year while closing out Texas Stadium.

That would be sweet! How about meeting the Steelers in the Super Bowl and evening our record to 2-2 against them AND being the first team to six!!!!!

Yeah, I was thinking about that. But we already got the steelers back in 95. That was a painful loss for them, a game they could have won.

I'd prefer to see the Colts as I'd hate to have the Steelers notch another SB appearance.

Aint it the truth? The ONLY elixir for that would be if we whoop 'em!. Seriously, if the Cowboys end up in the Super Bowl, we must remind ourselves to be giddy as hell and enjoy every moment regardless of the opponent.

I can honestly say that it can't get much better than that.
