TDs per game: 1.63
TD/INT Ratio: 2.89
TD/TO Ratio: 2.00
Yards Per Game: 280.2
Statistical Ranking: 6

All of those stats go into my statistical ranking for QBs and Romo ended up 6th overall for the year behind:

1. Drew Brees
2. Brett Favre
3. Peyton Manning
4. Philip Rivers
5. Aaron Rodgers

Romo is officially 3rd all-time in Passer Rating at 95.6 behind only Steve Young (96.8) & Philip Rivers (95.8). Unofficially, Aaron Rodgers is #1 at 97.2 but he has not thrown 1500 attempts yet so his ranking is unofficial.

It cracks me up when people tell me that Tony Romo is overrated or that he hasn't won anything yet. The guy is one of the best QBs to ever play the game folks!

Just for giggles, here are Romo's career numbers:

Record: 38-17
Win%: 69.1%
Completions: 1178
Attempts: 1857
Comp%: 63.44%
Yards: 15045
YPA: 8.10
TDs: 107
TD%: 5.76%
INTs: 55
INT%: 2.96%
Sacks: 99
SK Yds: 619
Sack%: 5.33%
Fumbles: 38
Fum Lost: 16
Total TOs: 71
TO% 3.82%
QB Rating: 95.6
TDs per game: 1.95
TD/INT Ratio: 1.95
TD/TO Ratio: 1.51
Yards Per Game: 273.5
Statistical Ranking: 5

All-Time, Romo ranks 5th statistically after: Peyton Manning, Otto Graham, Tom Brady, & Philip Rivers. For the career stats I have factored in championship games played and championships won.

He's 4th all time in yards per attempt behind some old fogies.

Yep the 3 guys ahead of him: Otto Graham 9.0, Sid Luckman 8.4, & Norm Van Brocklin 8.2 all played in the 40s & 50s. Van Brocklin was the last to play in 1960 so no QB after 1960 has a higher average yards per pass attempt than Tony Romo. That's nearly 50 years guys!

Roethlisberger is right behind Romo's 8.1 though at 8.0 and was second only to Philip Rivers this year (8.55 to 8.75).

According to Pro-Football-Reference.com Romo is #1 all-time in career adjusted-net-yards-per-pass-attempt. http://www.pro-football-reference.com/leaders/pass_adj_net_yds_per_att_career.htmv

Note: Their numbers in this stat do not include players from prior to 1960 from what I can tell.

Romo is one hell of a quarter back and I for one pray we do not need to replace him for the next 5-6 years.

I just pray we win next week so that he can get the accreditation he deserves as you know he will be blamed if we lose!

Yeah, when we win next week, they'll credit the defense but if we lose then it is Romo's fault for choking and Wade will get fired. :bang2:

Amazing that he can do all that with Jason Garrett as OC!

Very impressive numbers for Romo. And I will admit that my thoughts about him have changed after watching a majority of the Cowboys december games. He certainly has maturted and knows what it takes to win similar to the evolution Rivers has undergone the last few years.

Ironcially his worst game in December was against the Chargers but there were definitely plays to be made.

Hopefully you'll be good enough to meet us in the Superbowl. ;)

I'm glad he was able to keep INTs in single-digits. It's just more aesthetically pleasing on a stat sheet.

WOW 4400 yards? I didnt think he had that many.

Along with 26 TD passes and only 9 Ints.

Pretty good for a guy whose a slightly more mobile Marc Bulger without the 38 TD passes that went to Buffalo.

Not sure how he got snubbed from Pro Bowl. Maybe everyone knew he would be playing in Superbowl. We'll take that 7 days a week and twice on Sundays!

I think Romo's stats will only improve from here on out. Now that we have our core guys, and we bring in some fresh talent at certain positions every couple of seasons. Romo should have a steller carrer.... and hopefully some bowls to highlight it!!

Brees, Favre, & Rodgers all had statistically better seasons but I still think Romo should have gotten the nod.
