An exciting football game, to say the least. I have to say, I knew this would be a tough game to win for both teams, but if anything I think more of the Cowboys' team now than I did before the game. I predicted a 31-24 Seahawk victory, and much to my dismay, that solid defense of yours really hampered us yesterday. You'll win ball games with that defense.

Both teams were missing key starters on offense and defense. We had no deep threat with D-Jack (our speed guy and #1 WR) and Engram (our "hands" guy and #2 WR) both out of the game. And you had trouble protecting Bledsoe without a healthy O-line and missing your #1 RB. But both teams knew we had those injuries going into the game and had to prepare a game plan to account for it.

I find it interesting how so many Cowboy fans and players can call it "dominating" a team for most of the game. It was never once more than a one-score football game, how can that be considered dominating? I'd call it a defensive epic, in which Seattle just made the right plays at the right time to win the game. Granted if Cortez doesn't miss the kick, the Cowboys most likely win. But if Williams doesn't fumble the punt just before, then the 'Boys most likely don't even get a shot at that field goal. So, it goes in both directions there. Anyone can easily say "If we played perfect and they still made the mistakes that they made we would have won."
I think both defenses played well. Both QB's had throws that were picked off after bouncing out of their WR's hands that completely changed the makeup of the game as well. Openening Drive, if Warrick catches that ball instead of flubbing it, the 'Hawks probably take a 3-0 or 7-0 lead early in the game. If Hasselbeck hadn't thrown the pick to Stevens that gave Dallas it's field goal possession then the Seahawks probably will win it 10-7.

Yes Dallas made mistakes that cost them the game, but our boys made mistakes too. We could be the ones poinint out all our mistakes and licking our wounds if the game had gone the other way, which it easily could have.

We had a good kicking game from Josh, and this time he made the kick for the win, whereas 4 weeks ago at FedEx field in DC he hits the left upright in the EXACT same situation only from 47 yards....forcing overtime.
You could say that Seattle took this game as much as you could say that Dallas gave it away. The sub-par offense from both teams surely had something to do with the opposing team's defenses, right? That and a wet football. Give the Cowboys credit. I honestly think that they are the best 4-3 team in football. I was ready yesterday to say the same thing about my Seahawks.

I don't think it's fair for Dallas to say "We dominated them for 57 minutes." The football game I watched yesterday was anything but dominated by either team, it was as close as they come.

And just because I'm a 'Hawks fan I gotta say it. Redemption from last season's game which ended in a remarkably similiar fashion, only in the Cowboys favor.

I think the Cowboys will win the NFC East. I think it's possible that the 'Boys and the 'Hawks may face each other for a trip to the Superbowl.

Holding a team that is used to 400+ yards a week to under 200 for 98% of the game...that's pretty dominating by our D. I understand why you don't want to admit it, but your very own players would....and evidently have.

Forget the word domination and insert whatever word you want to. Bottom line is your offense did not do anything until there were 2 minutes remaining in the game. You went down the field and scored and then Bledsoe threw the game away.

That was indeed a miracle game for you guys. You guys won fair and square and deserved the win for doing what it takes when it has to be done.

I realize this will not sound like a good sport, and so for that I apologize.

But today I don't care what a Seahawks fan thinks, or has to say.

Congratulations, your team won, go talk about it with your fellow Seattle fans.

Sorry, this Dallas Defense dominated your #1 ranked offense on their own home turf. It was the Cowboy’s offense (that made the Giants D look like the ’85 Bears last week) that lost us the game. When you pray tonight, thank god for Parcells and his "not to lose" mentality.

I'd say that Dallas had control of the game. I don't think they dominated. They dominated Washington, Philly & the Giants.

In this one, they moved the ball a bit better than the Seahawks did and were forcing a lot of 3 and outs. And when they were not forcing 3 and outs, it was usually on some unneeded defensive penalty (i.e. Ratliff's illegal hands to the face call, which was bs).

Essentially, I think they played the better game and had the upperhand. But, it wasn't lopsided either.

Granted if Cortez doesn't miss the kick, the Cowboys most likely win.

If Cortez doesn't miss the kick, Seattle needs an onside kick like Dallas did last year to have a chance at winning or tieing the game.

Seattle played tough mentally and Dallas was once again stymied by their own mental errors and the opposing kicker (i.e. opposing kickers have made 94.3% of their field goals against Dallas in the last 3 years).

Frustrating loss for sure. Glad to hear you have more confidence in them winning the NFC East than I do.

Rich......

After the first drive, the Seahawks' next 11 possessions totaled only 158 yards, and the Seahawks went three-and-out six times and never got closer than Dallas' 37-yard line. So the Cowboys' defense WAS dominating for most of the game. The Cowboys' offense, on the other hand, wasn't.

Just simply put...the Cowboys are just not good enough to win games like that. We've been lucky (Giants) and we've been unlucky (Washington / Seattle). The fact is, we should have won but all that matters is that we didn't.

A classy post. I wouldn't use the term "dominate" to describe any facet of the game, but I would argue that they were "controlled" for much of the game. It was a tough one to lose for our guys, as they had the opportunities to win it on more than one occasion. Hats off to the Hawks for making plays when it really mattered. Your players looked thrilled to win and they must feel more confident that they will get the breaks in future games.

The game was not "exciting" in the traditional sense. I guarantee SeahawkFan would not say it was exciting had we not given them the game in the end.

Turnabout is fair play I guess as they gave us one last year on the Monday Night.

When putting someone else down for a perceived lack of intelligence, one should ensure one spells genius correctly.

I had to open the link to post my feelings to fellow Cowboy fans, and if you notice, my response was to a Cowboys fan.

It was a polite way of saying "go back to a Seabag message bd, (I assume there is one somewhere) and don't post here any more, because I don't care what you have to say."
