Do you guys think that he will have problems adjusting to the Cowboy offense, has he ever played in anything close to this, I know he's done alot of West Coast, what do you see as the major diffences he would have to adjust to/overcome...

I think he'll thrive. He's hasn't played with a QB that has a gun like Bledsoe.

yeah i agree, but u gotta remember sometimes, TO. gets a lil selfish, about gettin the ball all the time. i just hope that won't happen in dallas with him there now. just like the tuna told him u will not catch 100 balls in this offense. i hope thats not an issue with this guy, if not we are in trouble

There's no such thing as a "west coast offense receiver". Receivers run routes and catch balls. Some have good hands, are fast, and run good routes like TO. Some don't.

I think it will be interesting to see how he blocks for Big Bill. Key was one of the best blocking WR's in the league and with Owen's build he could be a devastating one himself. You know Tuna will expect it from him and how willing he is to do the little things could go a long way in determining how well the two mesh together.

If teams blitz what we run is very much wco.

But teams are not gonna blitz much with TO onboard which means he'll be asked to run different patterns. TO has not been abeacon of change and enlightenment so how that goes over is merely a guess.

At the end of the day I suspect TO is simply talented enough to get open regardless of scheme ro coverage and will get his catches.

After a year or so he may be back to whining about catches and all that jazz but I suspect for a year he's all about showing everyone how he can destroy teams.

And with a QB like Bledsoe who can pick out single coverage and get the ball there. TO will have his moments.

TO not catching 100 balls could very much be a smoke screen to throw teams off...

Parcells threw the ball a ton when he had Bledsoe in New England...

We shall see...

That's what I'm thinking. This offense has aerial assault written all over it.

Just a little FYI to people..

In 2004, Donovan McNabb threw 127 passes to Terrell Owens.

Last year - Drew Bledsoe threw recently departed receiver Keyshawn Johnson 130 passes.

Terrell will get his passes thrown his way. There will be no unhappiness there. It's up to him to do something with them.

AFA TO learning our system, I think the WCO is much more complicated than what Bill runs. I would have a problem with TO catching 100 balls, though. When was the last Super Bowl Champ who had a 100 catch receiver? Our offense is built around spraying the ball around & running the defense into the ground. There are only so many catches in a game when you run a ball control offense. BP ran JJ's butt off his rookie season, and brought in MBIII to help carry the burden. That is Bill's idea of success....run, run, run, then change things up once in a while with a pass. If TO catches 100 balls this year, it will mean that Witten and/or Glenn were hurt, or our ground game went south. Either way, it's not good.

I don't think he will since usually West Coast offenses are far harder to learn as they have more difficult language and usually require very precise route running. I'm a bit fearful they may wind up using him too much on the deep routes because he's excellent at taking a short route and running for big gaines with it. However, Parcells usually puts players in a position to utilize their strengths.

I think his toughest problem will just knocking off the dust since he hasn't played football since week 7. Keyshawn had problems knocking off the dust when he came here as well.
