From Extremeskins. This guy started his thread with this.
The First 55 Minutes
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't have any respect for people who become experts in hindsight. So, I'll say this while we're on a high after the win in Dallas. The Joe Gibbs' plan for our offense stinks. It's even worse than I had guessed.
Mark Brunell has more left in his tank than I figured, his style fits this offense, and for 55 minutes of Monday night's game, I sat with a bag over my head in front of my television set, ashamed to be a Commander fan.
Dallas, playing a new defensive scheme, with several young, inexperienced players, stuffed us for the first 55 minutes. We didn't even get close enough to try a long field goal.
Patrick Ramsey wasn't the problem; he doesn't fit this system. Mark Brunell isn't the problem. We need to stop blaming the QBs and direct our attention to the coaching.
Since most offenses stop themselves if given the chance, it's easier to be successful coaching the defense. Coaching the offense is far more difficult. There are only a few coaches in the NFL who can get an offense into the end zone consistently while lacking dominant talent. The evidence is mounting that Joe Gibbs isn't one of them.
