Finally getting some sacks

We have 20 sacks for the year now through 6 games with the main guys being Ware (4), Glover (3) and Ellis (3.5).

We are on pace for 53 for the year right now.

I think the biggest difference this year is Ware who commands double teams and the rotation which is keeping the DL fresher. I will also give some credit to the scheme and coaching as our blitzes are more creative and aggressive this year than in year's past.

Now hopefully we can keep it going through the year unlike past years when we've petered off after a good start.

Seems like this game we may have blitzed at most seems like 3 or 4 times. And all the sacks are from DL too, if I remember correctly.

and these sacks are starting to pay divedens as we now got our most TO in the season with 4, and are getting constatn pressure, except for one play where eli had all day, there has been contanst pressure against QB's, which means they miss wide open guys.

This change to the 3-4 is paying dividends. We are putting mental stress on Oline. What are we doing? Even saw Ware on the other side some - nice!

Ware took about 1 or 2 series to get the Giants paying alot of attention to him. He already is displaying the traits taht are going to make him a nightmare for opposing coaches. He's tought to handle one on one for any OT, and it's really helping the rest of the guys out. How bout our run D as well, we shut Barber down. Im lovin it. Seems like this D has really grown up alot in the last 2-3 weeks. Even Oakland, we held them to 19 in their house. Thats 19, 10, and 13 in the last 3 games. You're going to win the majority of your games when you hold the other team to 14ppg.

If you discount returns, our defense has given up 16 ppg this year.
