Took them long enough. Hopefully Lionel Hollins can do something to help them.

I'm still surprised Phoenix does...

that JRich trade was horrible. I bet Bell and Diaw had a wonderful time abusing their former team tonight.

The JRich trade is as bad for PHX as the Billups/AI trade has been for Detroit.

If Hubie could have stayed healthy, I think he could have done some nice things with the team. They need to get a stable front office and get a plan. Then hire a stable, defensive minded coach. They need to build the team around Gay, Gasol, and Mayo.....those are their big 3 of the future....all the other players are just role players.

Memphis still sucks?

Memphis' record sucks....but I will tell you, that no team should take them lightly. They definitely let you know you were in a game....They are young and hungry.

The team that Hubie took to the playoffs was the best team we have had since they moved to Memphis.

The front office situation will never be stable until Heisley decides if he's going to sell or do what it takes to make them a contender. Rudy and OJ could be a great duo for the future but the rest of the team needs a lot of work. Conley hasn't come around and is on the trading block. The best move the Griz have made is trading Kevin Love for OJ.

Anyone else see that Avery Johnson turned down the HC job this week?

I think Avery was and can be a good coach, but considering his (brief) history of mentoring young players (or lack thereof), perhaps this was better for the Grizzlies that he passed.
