Wasn’t impressed with Parker’s debut, as if anyone could be. It couldn’t have been more embarrassing for him. There was absolutely nothing to frame any positivity. It was an utterly embarrassing failure of a debut. Team looked lost, reactive, and passive all night. Complete joke…

All the hype about Parker's Second Coming...

395 total yards by the GiAnts, 230 through the air and 165 on the ground.

Yes, our D laid an egg and our hapless QB continues to throw off one foot and throws while he's being tackled.

Beyond terrible, it was atrocious.

Not a single adjustment.

They kept throwing in the flats for 10 yards on nearly every single play when they weren't running it down our throats.

Fire Parker first thing tomorrow.

Bad first game for the young DC....No question about that. When he did make some changes, the giants just took advantage of that with their own changes

With that said. I gotta give him a little time. This team is coming off a historically bad defensive system.
They are starting almost all new starters on D with many of the players not being on the team or not playing last year.

He is young. By all reports he seems to be an intelligent young man. Hopefully he learns from the mistakes.

That is the difference between he and Eberflus. Matt had plenty of exp at DC and years as a HC.

Now I imagine this is still going to be a long season on Defense but I am still hoping we see improvement as the season goes on, by the coaching staff and also by some young players.

Does not take off the stank of tonights game though.

I’m not ready to fire a guy over one game, especially when he took over control of a pretty terrible unit. I thought jaishawn Bahram played well at times

It felt like Q.Williams had no pressure up the middle

he had his moments but you can’t rely on pressure from your interior DL. It’s too difficult usually with 3 on 2. They’re going to control space and gaps which Q does amongst some of the best in the NFL. Your DEs have to get pressure and that hasn’t been consistent since Micah left.

If you go by EPA, that performance was worse than any game last year under Eberflus.

and only one of our five CBs is a natural zone corner.

Bland, Revel, Carson and Speed are all natural man corners and the Fangio/Parker scheme is best suited for zone CBs.

Look for that to be addressed in the odd season if not sooner. And no, Joey Porter is not a natural fit either

Clearly, the veteran offensive coordinators of the Giants toyed with the child prodigy DC in Dallas.

He was completely outmatched.

That could take a while to fix.
