From your view the offense was the bigger problem? Bad first play call and first drive, sure. But if Perkins doesn’t drop that one the game and the offensive success is much better.

Was that a bad pass from your view? Trying to gauge what you’re seeing and not.

The defense was the bigger problem but we did not return an “elite” QB or the same OC or the same skill players or several rd 1 picks 1 picks at OL or a top 5 offense from last year on defense. The defense was horrible last year, a new DC with 90% new players and a totally new system

The offense that our elite 60 million dollar QB runs was supposed to dominate

7 points in first half
Horrible interception when game was tied
Running around seeing ghosts even when he had time

These all played a huge role in the loss

Why bring up Dak's name in a thread that is about a defensive coordinator inability to make defensive adjustments? Let me guess... it's Dak's fault that there were so many busted coverages in zone in your mind, correct?

Let me ask you these last questions.... why does an offense have so few possessions in a half like the Cowboys did....? And in the sport of football, how do an offense get a possession? What unit of a football team has to make stops to get the football back into the possession of the offense?

on the interception, no one has brought up that he had plenty of room to work. Steele had kicked his guy wide. Once Dak had moved from the pocket to the right, he could have easily turned up field and ran with the ball or settled in to pass. HE made the bonehead decision to keep going toward the sideline INTO the defender Steele was blocking.

Very disappointing that we were so physically dominated. That we didn't seem to know our roles and that we just didn't seem good enough on defense. But, perhaps the issue was more with those expecting a team to go from historically bad to good in one game. A jump to even bad would be a huge jump from where we were last year. Let's give it a few weeks. Also, let's find a MIKE that has the size and ability to play the position. We have a bunch of WILLs that are good players but not IMO MIKEs and a kid who isn't quite ready for Prime Time. Just my two cents

I will give you credit for not pumping up Dak, and suggesting that the D was awful...which it clearly is/was. Again, you need a reality check of the offense when the game was on the line, not when it was out of reach, which it was in the 2nd half:

Possession 1: 3 and out for 5 yards
Possession 2: Not much better, same end result
Possession 3: 10 play drive you say? Yup, aided by 2 huge PI calls

Of course the loss is not solely on the O, but to suggest the O helped out is utterly ridiculous. Dak stucnk CD stunk, GP wasn't interested in playing......Our O vs a good D did it's usual ground hog disappearing act

Beyond terrible, it was atrocious.

Not a single adjustment.

They kept throwing in the flats for 10 yards on nearly every single play when they weren't running it down our throats.

You couldn't explain how a offense gets more possessions and you couldn't explain what Dak's name has to do with a thread about a defensive coordinator's inability to make adjustments.
