I can hop on that train. but not sure if we can fix anything on this defense this year.
I said all off season, we had holes on the defense and we threw bodies at it and hoped.
this is one of the most unathletic defenses I have ever witnessed. Dowdle was rushing 9 yard chunks at a time at will. 216 yards rushing. that's pathetic.

Did we really expect otherwise with his track record before coming here? A terrible, re-tread has been hire.

This was the same guy last Turkey Day let the clock expire while having his timeouts at the end of the game. His football IQ is minimal. 4th and 3 and what does he call? Safety 35yds off (confirmed on the All22 camera) and DBs playing about 7-10yds off. That was ballgame there.

I’m a 31 year old who played high school football, but I have zero coaching experience. I literally called that slant across the middle on 4th down before it happened because our dumb a*** DB was lined 10 yards off with only 3 yards to go for them. That comes down to coaching period.

.....But You will get a bunch of people say Bland should have just freelanced and do what was right...and man up in that situation. The problem with that is.....if It had worked....then your gonna start getting that from everyone....which would lead to more breakdowns. Kinda thinking your getting that anyway.....sure seems like a lot of guys are out of place in the scheme.

You hit the nail right on the head, this is Rod Marinelli 2.0. How much common sense does it take to play your corners closer to the receiver, when Carolina needed 4 yards on 3rd down and Dallas corners are giving Carolina receivers an 8 yard cushion. The result is an easy pitch and catch for an EASY first down and Eberflus never changed a thing the whole game.

He should be fired. We really need a scheme change. Probably tough to do unless we are about to have a bye week but I rather start now. This scheme doesn't fit our defense. We continue to do the same stuff over and over again and hoping something changes on defense is crazy. Guys continue to be wide open week after week. Can't stop the run. Just bad.

IDK how many times we had a nickel defense out there when the Panthers were in a 2 WR set. And we wonder why we were getting gashed in the run game.
