what message? message to the fans? what message will that send to the team and coaches, who based on Garrett being in his last year of contract are essentially in their last year of contract.

that move would be a feel-good move for the fans. it will accomplish nothing.
 
I don't know. That was just the worse play calling at the end. Worse than horrible. I just don't understand it.

Folks are saying Dak called an audible on the third down run, but still no excuses to go with that Zeke run. Looking at the third down play with the way the vikings were spread out on defense, it looked like Dak could have just ran up the middle with Fredrick blocking and could have easily gotten the 2 or three yards for a first down, possibly more. Just horrible.... And I know the season is not over but it might as well be. This team even if it does make the playoffs (and right now, they got no business in anybody's playoffs) is one and done! They can't be a good team to save their lives.

its a pattern of the cowboys coaching. we have been in position to win despite everything, against NO, GB, Jets, Minn. but its the NFL and most games go into the 4th quarter and situational game management is critical for the coaches. we keep losing those battles....we make all the wrong decisions when it comes to crunch time. this coaching staff can't get over the top.

with that said, I am not mad at garrett or moore, I am really disappointed in Marinelli and Richard (who many love love love). with Smith, LVE, Lawrence, Quinn, Bennett, Jones you figure they would be able to be more dominant. we still can't stop any crossing patterns and we can't stop RB screens. our tackling is woeful and the players seem to be in the wrong position a lot. our defense has been a big big let down.
 
But guys, come on, AT LEAST we all get to hear those spiffy, all written down speeches( cough cough excuse's) by the coaches and players when being questioned by the "media"... same old song and dance just a different morning...

The water boy? The lady at the 3rd ticket window from the left on the West end of the stadium? The guy that orders the laundry detergent they use to wash the uniforms?
 
I think firing garrett would be uplifting to the players. look how much better dak is playing with a new coordinator. imagine if he were playing with a new coach.
 
Garrett is the one person that needs to be fired. Until that happens, doesn't really matter who they scapegoat to 'send a message'.

At this point in the season and with the Cowboys still in first place in their division nobody is going anywhere. Now the Cowboys are going to win their division by default because the division is so terrible plus Dak dominates the NFC East like no other Cowboys quarterback ever and with that they'll get a wild card home game and be one and done and that's when the fire sale will take place, at least you would think but when it comes to Jerry who the hell knows!

garrett won't be here next year. there is 7 games to go. why fire him now? when the entire coaching staff will be gone next year in lieu of a new hire...errr new puppet

I agree even Jerry is smart enough to see that his $$$$$$$ could be slipping if he try's to sell the same old expired goods again next year.
