Fire the HC, Zimmer - that won't produce any real changes

The problem with firing the head coach or the defensive coordinator as Jerry’s usual scapegoat will not work because he’s already tried it over and over and over. The fundamental problem is he is still owner in GM. He is accountable to no one so until that changes, expect more of the last 28 seasons. Remember, cowboy fans signed a pact with Jerry and the Jones family till death do us part. So as long as the Jones family owns the team, we will be stuck with subpar results.

The thing is—I think we should keep them.

If we keep getting blown out to such a horrid degree, Jerry might be forced by doctors and the NFL Owners Association to step down due to strong alcoholic tendencies and declining health due to stress from chronic blowouts. He’s getting old and his body can’t take such stressors anymore. He’s going senile trying to believe this team is good. Soon they will have to address his declining health. Keeping MM and Zimmer is the way to do that.

It will never happen but wouldn’t it be great if Big Mac announced tomorrow, “From now on we’re doings my way around here.” Followed by making big lineup changes and rolling out tons of trick plays and risks. Why not? He’s toast already. Why not have some fun?

Jerry is the main problem for sure. He brought in Mike Zimmer who's defense sucks compared to Quinn. They should have never let Quinn leave Dallas.

As for McCarthy, I would say go all out and do whatever you can to get wins. Bench Elliott and send a message to Jerry that your an idiot. At least us fans will understand.

He might as well, when you are coaching on a 1 year contract, getting blown out at home multiple times already is not going to get you an extension.

MM knows he is done.

Needs to be a 3-4 Defense going forward. Zimmer can audition for the rest of the season as to whether he keeps his job

Not a bad plan since we can't get rid of the Joneses.

Jim Irsay is still an owner. Jerry can be "the liquor" and still be an Owner.

We don't have the personnel to run a 4-3 or a 3-4, we have a defensive roster that just not very good, esp after Jerry replaced almost no one who left in FA.

We have to start somewhere. I'd be targeting Brian Flores next season

we don't have the personnel to compete on the football field, let alone a 4-3 vs 3-4

We've known this for a very long time.

I think the problem is Jerry, but I am not letting the coaches off the hook either. This team looks stale and needs an upgrade to the offensive and defensive game plans. I am not looking for a lot of gimmicks and things like that. But I'd like to see some plays to get receivers open once in a while. It seems like DBs know where our receivers are going to be on every play. Even RBs coming out of the backfield are covered up almost immediately with no room to run.

And on defense, Zimmer is too risk averse. He has no pass rush. He needs to come up with some new ways to generate pressure.

The players have no respect for the coaches. That's why Zeke ran to Jerry about not getting the ball enough. There is no pecking order other than Jerry and than everyone else. I blame Jerry for signing Dak but I blame Dak for thinking he is all that and deserves what he is getting paid. I hate the fact that the QB position is commanding the next guy up makes more than the last guy signed. That's the only position in the NFL that pays mediocre like they are elite.

82 year old GM.

He is in the position because he says he would be the final say on any decision anyway. What’s the point?

The kind of narcissism that permeates around here is ridiculous. The fans eat it up too…but what is he going to do to change it? He can bring Beli in here if he wants, but it’s too late. Plus, like Tuna, he’ll fire the guy once he starts getting the credit…

I feel like we’re paying for sins from the superbowl seasons…cause this ain’t getting better. New coach, new coordinators, new players it’s the same results cuz the GM and owner are the same smh Go Cowboys
