If Dallas traded down with SF and snagged an extra 2nd or 3rd and the draft went like this...

1) Zeke
2) Docston
3) Hunter Henry
4) Cook
4) Jaylon Smith

Plug in defense for the rest of the draft and that extra 2nd or 3rd rounder for a BPA.

Would this board vomit profusely?

I'd actually be quite thrilled.

No thanks. offense is not the strength of this years draft.

I'd be okay with it if we get Henry/Elliott or Wentz/Goff/Lynch or any pairing of the two in the first and second rounds. If not, then, NO, I don't want to go all offense in the first and second round or with all our top picks, which I consider the first four rounds.

Let's say we get Zeke. Let's say he gets 750 yards.. DMac gets another 750.. Is that worth using a 4 th on him as some have suggested. When a 3-5 rounder will give you the same production..

As a matter of fact I was thinking nearly the opposite...

At least the first 2 picks being on the defensive side of the ball.

And the 3rd rounder being either a RB or a QB (Prescott).

Or better,
1 Wentz or Goff
2 trade down and take WR shepherd
3 RB Collins

Hunter Henry will go somewhere in the 2nd round. Someone will take a chance on Smith and draft him early especially if there is no nerve damage in that knee.

There is no RB in this draft that is going to give you more production than Zeke. If he is on this team he is getting more carries than McFadden and will be in the 1200 yard range or better.

There is a better chance of the first three picks being on the defense. As a matter of fact I have them already selected.

1. Jalen Ramsey
2. William Jackson III
3. Sua Cravens

Ain't gonna happen. Thankfully the Cowboys are smarter than you.

Vinny you cant make your point under valuing your objection.
Zeek will be the lead hoss with more then a thousand yards.
We arent drafting a RB for 1 season but for the full contract.

I still don't understand the fixation for a project QB at 4. Goff and Wentz would be 2-3 rounders last year..I won't be brainwashed into thinking they are #4 worthy. If people are saying Elliott isn't worthy at 4, then "small college" project Wentz is definitely not worthy. This team needs defense! Defensive Back, Linebacker, DL.. Pick one, we need help on D. Two very solid picks at 1 and 2 could totally change the face of our D. They don't want Hardy back. We have to go DL with the first two, but what about the other? Ramsey at 4? This years Sparq champion could team with last years all-world Sparq champion and form a dynamic duo in the back that other teams would envy. Or do we roll the dice on Myles Jack? He was injured, but all indications are he's a do-all LB with speed and cover skills Marinelli covets from his Linebackers. I know he's not a popular pick at 4, but I like Shaq Lawson. He's big, nasty, and can get to the Qb...then go get a RB with the 3rd. Not to mention, there is still some project QB to be had if you must have a back-up in this draft.

That's exactly what's happened– brain washing.

Wouldn't shock me one bit of we went QB then HB at 1 and 2 with Wentz and Henry

This is what I want. However if Bosa is way up the board before Wentz I could live with a Bosa, Henry, WR, then all D. We need a WR bigtime!

I think zeke becomes the feature back pretty quick if we take him, and heavily out touches mcfadden. A lot of these 4th round running backs could rush for 700+ yards, no doubt. It's about a whole lot more than end of season Rushing yards though. The 3rd and shorts that we were dreadful at last year I think improves with Zeke. He's going to pass protect much better than RB's in the middle rounds. I'm fine with going somewhere other than zeke at 4, but the argument that we can get a similar player in the middle to late rounds isn't accurate.

if the dallas cowboys want to be in the conversation for one of the better teams in the league and playoff contention they will draft zeke Elliot. He will make the most impact of any player they will take in this draft on the results of this season.
