Still too early for this in my opinion. A lot of these guys will be going up and down boards in the next couple of months. Have to wait until at least late Feb after the combine to start pinpointing exact rounds for a lot of these guys.

This is pretty much exactly what I was thinking. I just think that we would need to toss a corner in there somewhere. I think that we need to build this line like we did the o line though for sure. Just toss picks and bodies at it and build a young strong d line that can dominate people.

1 Nate Orchard, DE, Utah

2 PJ Williams, CB, Florida State - because we need to draft a decent CB

3 Preston Smith, DT , Mississippi State - I play him inside - Smith also lines up as a 1-technique lineman inside on obvious passing downs, using his initial quickness and power to penetrate the A-gap and create interior pressure.

that be my wish list

Throw in a CB OT and a back up OLB and we hit a Home Run

do you think they target 2 ends given we traded up for dlaw last year?
Me personally would of thought they might sign an end in free agency on 2-3year deal and draft another, that way your buying your draft prospects time to adjust if they need it

I think they will sign a DE in free agency in which case they would draft 2 of them.

Michael Bennett was certainly impressive against Bama. Wasn't even on my radar as a first day pick but would be perfect for Rods defense.

ya he's been really disruptive most of the year, always getting penetration and disrupting. Honestly, he doesn't look that great physically, some belly pooch there, but he seems to be quick off the snap and strong enough to anchor. He's good at splitting the gaps and blowing up plays away from him too. As an athlete, I like Malcolm Brown a lot more but I think Bennett would be a great fit for us too. I'm sure it'll depend on who's available and I see Brown blowing up the boards once the underwear olympics and prodays are over. Fortunately, this draft is really deep at our biggest needs, DE, CB, DT. There are a lot of pass rushers and DTs in the first two rounds so I would think we should have a few options.

D'joun Smith should be a consideration in Rd. 2. I'm a bit uncomfortable with Scandrick being our top CB next season.

Yeah, I've changed my tune a bit, having watched some bowl games. I haven't seen Brown play, but Bennett really impressed me vs Bama. Buckner looks like a stud, too. I love Prewitt in round two, but Bennett/Buckner works for me in rounds 1/2.

Someone not on your list that I have my eye on is Perryman the LB from Miami.

I think the staff like Durant and McClain better, so Carter won't be resigned. I have no faith that Lee, Durant and McClain can stay healthy for 16 games, so I see LB being a need.

Just going off bowl games, Bennett impressed me way more than Brown did in regards to DT's.

The above would be a dream to me or Kevin Johnson in the second.
I think Orchard appears the more explosive player but Golden may suit us better there. I'd be happy either way. I think we'll be extremely fortunate to have those three options available by the time we pick, esp rounds 2 and 3.

I love Ifo Ekpre-Olomu for College but concerned he is a walking PI in the NFL. I have watched all his games at Oregon and he is physical and has a nose for the the ball but he can get grabby.

Cant argue your logic and yes Perryman can play.

I don't see any of those players falling to our draft slots.
