When is the first big set of cuts supposed to take place?

Yesterday. The rest are Saturday to 53.

We had to get down to 80 yesterday. We were at 83. We cut Gurode and Curtis Clay, and put Carter on the NFI list. So, in our case, it wasn't really a big cut down day. Like Hos said, Saturday is the big day.

We were at 83, then cut Gurode and put Kai Forbath and Bruce Carter on the NFI list to get to yesterday's 80 man limit.

Anyone who is buried on the depth chart who doesn't play tonight is a goner for sure.

This is my favorite preseason game as these guys will be giving their all to secure a spot on the team.

I'd hope the scouting department really did their job, and the remaining 53 are better than any of the newly available FAs (864 cuts).

It's going to be an interesting next few days to say the least. I always thought the team was looking to make a few moves here where availability meets value. If a young but experienced LB or DL becomes available, I think the team brings them in and moves forward without Igor and/or Brooking,
