Eddie LeBaron was a decorated Korean War veteran, Marine officer, and NFL quarterback. In the 1950 NFL Draft, the Washington Commanders selected LeBaron in the 10th round as the 123rd overall pick. He played for the Commanders from 1952–1953 and 1955–1959, and for the Dallas Cowboys from 1960–1963. During his 11 NFL seasons, LeBaron made four Pro Bowls and was named Rookie of the Year in 1952.

one of my dad's favorites.
used to tell me stories of how fun it was to watch him play.
his all-time favorite was dandy don meredith.
but he loved eddie labaron.

"Little" Eddie was a good QB. He served his nation well and the early Cowboys well. If the rest of the team had been as good as he was then their record would have been much better those early years. He did well while Meredith sat and learned. Then Dandy Don took over, the team added talent as they went along and things really started clicking. Happy Birthday to the first number 14.
