First Cowboys QB turns 95 years old

He played for the Skins? or the Chiefs?
Skins. Drafted by them in 1950, left for Marine Corp, came back in 1952 to the Skins. Replaced Slingin’ Sammy Baugh. Went to what is now the CFL. Back to the Skins in ‘54-‘59. Top rated NFL QB in ‘58. Punter and QB for Cowboys and Commanders. Traded to Cowboys in ‘61 for their first round pick(#2) and 6th round pick. He came out retirement from his law practice to join the Cowboys. Scrambling QB.

Meant to post this yesterday

Eddie LeBaron was a decorated Korean War veteran, Marine officer, and NFL quarterback. In the 1950 NFL Draft, the Washington Commanders selected LeBaron in the 10th round as the 123rd overall pick. He played for the Commanders from 1952–1953 and 1955–1959, and for the Dallas Cowboys from 1960–1963. During his 11 NFL seasons, LeBaron made four Pro Bowls and was named Rookie of the Year in 1952.

That's amazing, nobody ever talks about this guy.

Commanders. Lol

I guess Bob Feller was one of the best Guardians of all time.

I can understand that you have to call the current Commanders by their actual name and not the old one.

But history is history. It were the 'skins back then so if you talk about that period of time you should use the correct name.

yeah the name thats on pro football reference but you cant say here lol
You can say it on the Washington message board.

During the Sunday night game between Washington and the Falcons, NBC put up a QB rushing statistic with a pic of RGIII next to Daniels. Danels jersey said Commanders. RGIII's jersey said nothing. They removed it.

Thats crazy.

Oh, my gosh, Roger Staubach will be 83 in another three and a half weeks too.

I've already noticed that my team of the 70's is beginning to depart.

As much as LeBaron was rag-dolled during the early 60's before all the protective rules, the fact that he is still alive is inspiring.
