Whether we have the ball or not-- the first drive of the game is critical for us.

A long TD drive for us-- or forcing a GB punt will set the tone and get the house rolling.

We have not played in a while and need to come out fast and sharp. Taking control from the first snap is the best way to put the Pack on their heels and let them know they are in for a looong afternoon.

Don't get carried away if we start out a bit sluggish early. Remember against Detroit in the playoffs the Cowboys got down 14-0 and they got going as the game went on.

But in saying that, GreenBay's defense is absolutely the worst defense remaining in the playoffs. There is no way they will be able to shut down the Cowboys offense for multiple drives. I wouldn't be surprised if the Cowboys don't punt the entire game. I see them dominating Greenbay's defense by the time we get late in the 3rd qt going into the 4th.

1st quarter could be slow and flat, teams trying to see the others game plan. Though I expect GB to be a bit more aggressive right away.
Would Dallas do the same, on the 2nd series, be a little more aggressive in the passing game to set up the run.

By slow and flat, I do not mean they won't be sharp, but maybe just a bit more conservative to get into the game a bit after the 2 weeks off, as well, basically take the last week off of the regular season also.

Or they could come out on fire to. LOL.

This team seems to start off scorching hot or extremely sluggish. No real in between. 2014 was kind of the same way. After that red hot December to close the season, we came out as flat as could be against Det and GB. 3 and out to start both games and allowed both teams to shove it down our throats for a quick 7-0 deficit. Hope that doesn't happen this week but would not panic if it did. Also won't get too excited if the opposite happens. Both teams have shown they can still win after starting slow. GB didn't have any points until the very end of the 1st half and ended up scoring 38 and winning by 25. It's going to be a long game.

The Cowboys are the better team and have the better personnel. There is no need to try to "feel out" the Packers and what they are trying to do early. We already know they are inferior and what we should be able to do well and not do well against them.

So the Cowboys need to come out aggressive and keep our foot on the gas the whole game.

It would be a mistake to come out timid and send the signal to everyone that we think they can beat us. They can't.

Only we can do that.

The Cowboys need to come out on fire. Get the crowd into it and let the Packers know that they aren't winning this game.

They need to break the Packers will.

This is a second half team. They've been setting up teams in the first half and bringing the counter punch in the second half all season.

I would line up with Dez out wide and go play action deep. First play

That's about the worst thing we could do
Pass gets intercepted and suddenly GB has momentum. That is how good teams lose.

When you're the better team you don't try to get cute , just be who you are

You run the ball and you do short play action passes, score a TD and let them know that it will be a long day and take away their will

I was thinking something similar. If the Cowboys can punch them in the mouth from the word go, on either side of the ball, they have the ability to put the game away early. I expect a better fight than the last meeting but at the end of the day, the Cowboys are the better overall team...At least on paper. Any given Sunday still applies, of course.

Dak has 4 interceptions all year.................highly unlikely it gets picked off. Not only that but nobody would expect it. They would sell out to stop Zeke up the middle

I'm going to say this until I'm out of breath. Without "forcing" GET DEZ BRYANT INVOLVED EARLY. He's a huge playmaker and we need his presence to effect the game. This gets his emotions flowing in a way that energizes the team and opens up the entire offense.

I think they need to get Dak a couple of easy throws to start the game.

Help him get into a good rhythm right off the bat.
This. They need to give Dak some quick, short throws early to shake off any rust that may be there.
