First four years in the NFL. Cooper vs Brown

Why do you guys do this? If it's not Prescott being compared to Brady, now it's Cooper being compared to Brown.

Cooper will not be on track to be a future HOF player. Brown is. These players don't come around often, especially at WR. Settle down.

Wrote Scott Barrett of PFF: “Cooper led the league in drops (18) and drop rate (20.0 percent) in his rookie season (2015), but then seemed to get past the issue in 2016, dropping only four passes. In 2017, Cooper again led the league in drop rate (17.2 percent). Not only are these numbers bad, but they’re historically bad. Since 2007, there have only been three players to see at least 100 targets and post a drop rate of 17 percent or worse: Braylon Edwards (2007 and 2008), Greg Little (2011) and Cooper (2015 and 2017).”

Cooper has had slugs throwing to him while Brown had Big Ben.

I'm no expert of Oakland Football but Derek Carr in Coopers first two seasons had a stat line of:
32 TDs, 13 INTs and 3,987 yards in 2015
28TDs 6INTs and 3,937 yards in 15 games in 2016.

2017 on he's been bad, but's it's not like Cooper was playing with a struggling QB his first two years. Carr dropped off in 17 and so did Coopers numbers.

How was he in 2018? Last I saw he was crying on the sidelines. He is not a very good QB...has been exposed.

Crazy how he had such a rise and fall in a short span. MVP talks in 16, breaks his leg and then plays like crap.
I agree now he's been bad for a while, but in Coopers first two years he wasn't exposed yet/putting up good numbers.

But wait, so even dropping passes he had better numbers? Sign me up...catching can be improved with hard work.

First off all, in terms of games played, no he did not have better numbers.

And LOL at "sign me up" to a guy who had a 20 percent and a 17 percent drop rate. This is homerism to the highest degree. Brown will be a HOF, Cooper will be "Remember that one WR we had?" in a few years.

This place was ready to burn Dez for having 9 drops once in his entire career LOL

First 4 years:

Brown: 54 games played, 27 games started
Cooper: 61 games played, 56 games started.

2010, Browns first year, the Steelers had Hines Ward, Antwaan Randle El and Emmanuel Sanders.

Doesn’t matter. Show the targets... aka the amount of opportunities to make plays. Cooper had less than 50 more over 4 years.

And cooper starting meant he faced better corners than brown and still put up better numbers.

You’re holding it against cooper because he was ready to start sooner... lmao
