Word is KC wanted Mitchell to play OLB but Mitchell wanted to stay in the middle and supposedly the Chiefs aren't willing to pay Mitchell what he wants. Detroit, on the other hand, is willing to pay him and wants him to play MLB. Apparently they're impressed with the way he handled the Cover 2 in KC and are desperately looking for a MLB to man their C2 defense.
