Lol! Theres going to be something like 20 FAs on this team after the season but hey, let's spend the 1st on a guy who's going to back up one of the league's most dominant LTs for the next 3 years because he had an ankle sprain!

Robert Quinn - 1 yr rental
Amari Cooper - will be resigned
Randall Cobb - could be brought back fairly cheap
Jason Witten - last yr
Sean Lee - last yr aswell
Christian Covington - bye
Byron Jones - bye...could be alot cheaper then what he wanted this yr.
Jeff Heath - bye
Joe Thomas - Dallas has his replacement in Gifford, but would be dirt cheap
Tavon Austin - again bye or really cheap
L.P Ladoucuer - retires or the usual 1mil cap hit
Kerry Hyder - numbers game, bye
Maliek Collins - too inconsistent, part ways
Xavier Sua-Filo- bye
Justin March - really cheap
Darian Thompson - bye
Dak Prescott - Will be signed or franchised
CJ Goodwin - who?
Anthony Brown - rather have him then Jones. Cheaper, same player
Kavon Frazier - bye

Dallas has 2 FAs who they need to sign and thats Dak, and Amari. The rest can be signed cheap or gotten rid of.Theres this perception that Dallas is in trouble. Their core is already set for yrs exceot for Dak and Cooper.

Dallas did all it did this offseason in signing Lawrence, Elliot, Smith, and Collins and still got 25mil cap space.

Right now Dallas is scheduled to have 91mil as estimated right now. And will probably be a few mil higher once the 2020 salary cap is announced. The Jones' have this team in a good spot.

With probably a new coach for 2020 most likely Lincoln Riley and 90+mil to spend. Dallas is a very good spot.

How about something between draft a LT in the first and doing nothing.

It would be good to draft a legit developmental OT in the 3rd to 5th round area.

Absolutely. Just not the 1st.

Tired of this team being held hostage every time Tyron can’t go. Would be nice if we had a coaching staff that could adjust accordingly but we don’t. No excuse not to draft the future next year
Why first round? Whatever happened to BPA? How many of the greatest Cowboys OL and perhaps one the NFL's best ever were first round picks?

This is silly. Smith hasn't missed more than 3 games in a season - you don't draft someone in the first round as a replacement. It's not IDEAL not to play 16 games, but should be able to live with your LT missing a couple games. It's called depth.

What is need is the best player available that fits a need.

And with this team that could be a LT, TE, DT, DE, CB or S. So mostly BPA

I mean, if a legit LT prospect/high ceiling LT fell to them later in the first round, and he was the BPA by far, then I wouldn't be opposed to that. Sort of like the 2014 where their original wants where Donald, Barr and Shazier and they went for Martin after all 3 were taken just before.

Wouldn't want them to reach though.

We'll need to replace Byron Jones (who'll be a free agent). CB/DT is priority #1.
