I feel that was a stretch.
But this is a start.
We need to see them on the field, as well what Parker brings as a DC.

I am excited to see, but we still need to see it. I do feel the defense barring injuries again of course. Can make a big jump toward the middle of the pack. Maybe not at first. But by the end of the season.

not even close. we are still not playoff material. we have a few ghosts to unhinge, we have coaches that have to streamline and we have to get some chemistry going at the right time we need to replace a QB, which would take forever. No, we re not SB bound because JJ was not interested in a SB

Defense is night and day better than last season.

DL, CB and S all improved. Still need an ILB badly

I agree. I don't think they're contenders this season, but next season barring injury and if they keep up what they're doing in acquisitions? Contending in 2027

Very possible Dallas could contend for the NFC East. Eagles w/o Brown and Hurts and the D will all be question marks going into this season.

Oh, I think it's very possible the Cowboys make the playoffs, but I think they'll get bounced by the divisional if they do. There is still a lot of holes to fill and they still need a few more "culture changers" or "Dogs" to overcome that softness.

I get the accolades, but let’s tap the brakes on expectations. Dallas landed one impact player and one who is a raw talent and needs to be developed, which is something the Cowboys have been poor in doing in the past.
There are far too many holes that need to be filled on defense; and 1-2 good players aren’t going to make a significant difference.
I personally would have liked to have seen a premiere edge rusher as I thought that was a bigger need given the anemic pass rush of last year. What good is it having a stud DB when he has to cover his man for a protracted period of time when the pass rush doesn’t get home.
The FO can sill muck this up.
