First thing i was hoping to read

Cowboys cut Brad Johnson. ive never liked this signing period! and he needs to go without any exceptions. if he starts next week vs Tampa, i will not watch the game, and i will personally fly to Las Vegas and bet my house, and everything else i own, this dude should be ran from the league and never heard from again. and should never be mentioned with the cowboys in any aspect ever again.

i no longer doubt ya, dont think i had any doubt it the first part...just saying it would really suck for you if you lost your house on a last second fieldgoal...how would u explain that to the misses?

No, but a lot of the blame could be placed squarely on his shoulders. 3 INT's. Throwing the ball off his back foot and not even coming close to planting his feet even when he had time to pass.

He looked horrible. He was inaccurate for 90% of the game. Throwing high. Low. Behind WR's. He has officially lost his touch for the game.

Look at the Titans with Kerry Collins, or the Vikings with Gus the Bus Ferotte. Heck, with the backups in, both teams have gotten much better. Now I'm not saying Vince and Tavaris were hard to replace, but those older backup QB's are playing pretty well. We put in our trusty old QB and look completely lost on offense.

Honestly,

Brad Johnson is probably not the guy we need. Don't get me wrong, I am not hanging this lose on him but the reality is that because we can not pass protect, his strengths can not be used with our team. It's unfortunate but that's the deal. If you look at Brads interceptions, they were a direct result of pressure. Now, the fact that Brad is not mobile does not help but honestly, we are so poor at pass protecting that it doesn't even matter. Brad Johnson, IMO, is very capable of managing a game if the game is within reach. However, if you put Johnson in a hole early, his strengths are not adequate to bring us back. Honestly, gave him no chance to succeed on Sunday. Defensively, we played very poorly but once again, penalties. special teams and turnovers just killed us. If we play like we did on Sunday, it won't matter who we have at QB. We are going to lose.

I don't hate Brad and I don't put all of this loss on him, but he has to shoulder a lot of the blame for the turnovers and missing plenty of open oppurtunities with poor passes, but the defense didn't help him out either.
