Which of these guys do you think Dez will end up getting closest stat wise.

Right now he has

He has a very clear shot to catch all except Moss.

I will add another WR rookie year to this list...since he had, at the time, one of the best rookie WR years.

Terry Glenn

GS REC YDS TDs
15 90 1132 6

What about Anquin Boldin, he had a pretty spectacular rookie season as well:

Anquin Boldin - 16g , 101rec, 1377yards, 8tds

I don't think Dez quite reaches that number of catches and yards, but he'll clearly surpass in number of TDs. He'll be in the double digits around 12-14, but though I;d love to see it it's unlilekly he catches Moss in TDs.

Great thing is ..... all those guys with big numbers started most of the year.

Dez may catch them ..... and he has not really started a game in the base package yet.

Amazing.

I think Dez is going to do about what I predicted after seeing him in training camp. 60 to 70 catches, 800-900 yards, and 10 TDs.

Did Dez take Roys spot? I noticed him in the game alot more than Roy. Even in 2 wr sets.

Only 4 receptions a game the rest of the way gets him exactly 69 receptions. That would get him around 900 yards for the season. I doubt he reaches the 17 TD total.

Boldin had a monster rookie year! Moss and Boldin had the two best rookie years I've ever seen for a WR...

I think Bryant will end up with close to 1,000 yards receiving and 8 or 9 TD's.

46 catches 1,003 yards 12 TD

Franchise rookie record by Bob Hayes.

He did that in 13 games, back when receivers could be hit anywhere on the field and OL had to block with their arms bent and fists closed.

Mostly on long bombs where he outran everyone - no zone defenses at the time.

At this point I really see no reason why he can't get to a 1,000 yds on 90 catches. But the real kicker is td's, i'm gonna go with 15. He's gonna catch six more and take 3 more back on returns.

Barring injuries, he'll have an elite rookie year. He'll be around 900 with at least 10 receiving TDs plus 4/5 returns. Imagine how good his stats would be if he hadn't gotten hurt in TC with continued injuries thru the first 5 games.

Still doubt he'd have matched Moss's rookie year but probably would have come close except for all those TDs. Austin & RWilliams are both too good WRs not to get their fair share of TD catches.

Other teams must have heard problems trying to decide who in their secondary have to cover Austin, Dez or RWilliams & then there is Witten. If Felix comes to life, should be real interesting rest of season. Makes me sad that we already had a 1-7 record when we recorded her 2nd season win.
