Twitter: Fish chats with Jerry

The hapless Dallas Cowboys management presses onward . . . unfettered, despite its dismal record . . .

What's funny is he talks about the approach as if it's a proven formula.

The real answer is....we lost several negotiations and holdouts and arent getting a return from those players, so we have to be cheap otherwise.

Jerry Jones, always the Best and King of the Cowboys! Life is Great…

Jerry Jones is making no sense when he defends his approach. "10 players getting 66% of the money" he says as if he did not pay those 10 players 66% of the money. Who gave Zeke that ridiculous contract? Who paid Lawrence $21 million per year for 5.5 sacks? Wasn't it Jerry who gave Dak $40 million per year? He cut La'el Collins the starting RT who was actually playing decent football and kept Zeke who counts more against the CAP than Collins. Give me an offensive line and I can make almost any RB a star in the NFL.

Jerry can sign 53 scrubs at the vet minimum and not have to worry about the CAP at all!

This is the way I would envision a Jimmy Johnson ROH ceremony. Midfield on the Cowboy star is Jimmy waving to the crowd that is on its feet chanting "Jim-eeeeee" Jim-eeee" "Jim-eee" for several minutes. Johnson waving, smiling, a bit emotional, humble and proud trying his best to thank the admiring crowd. Sometime during the ceremony owner Jerry Jones would have to be introduced to the crowd and the BOOOOOOOOOOOOs would rain down. Loud Boos. Angry boos. Jimmy would smile that big smile of his (almost laughing) and shake Jerry's hand. Crowd full of love for Jimmy.....mostly hate for Jerry.

Do you think Jerry Jones could take that? Never.....NEVER. So do not expect Jimmy Johnson to be in the ROH during Jones' tenure. I do hope Jimmy makes it before he passes away but he will have to likely outlive the Jerry Jones tenure as active owner/GM.

It doesn't get anymore inside the Cowboys than this.

Jerry defends his FA approach, his still willingness to be reckless and blows off exactly when Jimmy will go into the ROH.

Jimmy should slap Jerry at his ROH ceremony.

The funniest part of this entire thing is that the last 25 years have pretty much confirmed people were right to give Jimmy most of the credit for those SBs.

The only people that can't see that are Jerry and his goofy kid.

True, how ironic that Jerry has spent the last two and half decades trying to convince us he was the architect of those SB wins.....when he actually now convinced us and any other doubters Jimmy was the brains of the front office.

And some on this forum...........

Why did he sign Deion Sanders? Because Jerry Dumbo GM Jones fired a Head Coach that won back to back Super Bowls without Deion Sanders. So that answers you Ring of Honor question.
