Fish: Cowboys do plan to spend on tier 2 free agents

Hoffman, Bass, and Richards have all shown they could play. I think Hoffman is better in short reliefs rather than as a full time starter but he showed to be pretty competent. They also drafted Nathan Thomas who's college LT history suggest that he could be perfect as an OG. So they don't have a "need" there. It doesn't mean that you can't upgrade but you don't go out of your way spending for a position that isn't a strong need.
We just lost a HOFer at the position. You just said Hoffman isn't ready. Richard is a T and Thomas was a 7th-round pick. You don't see is as a strong need? In fact, assuming they want their best five on the field, guess who replaced Martin last season when he was injured, Hoffman. That pretty much says he's the best they have left......I am 100% confident Martin's replacement isn't currently on the team. JMO

Hernandez played under Adams, coming off an injury so he will be cheap. Played ball at UTEP and wanted Dallas to draft him.

Unless somebody blows him away with an offer, I am 99% sure he is a Cowboy. I felt the same way with Kendricks following Zimmer.

Sorry, but I'm a non-believer of this "rumor". Also, Tier 2 players can be very subjective. Knowing this FO, they probably think the FA players they've acquired the last few years are Tier 2. So, there's that.

The tier is about pricing not whether they turned out well after the fact.
Is that your opinion or was that mentioned somewhere? Because the tweet doesn’t really say what they consider it to be. I assumed we were talking about talent because tiers are much harder to distinguish when it comes to salary:

Tier 1 FAs are notoriously overpaid and rarely perform to expectations...if true I am good with tier 2 FAs and maybe a trade or two to grab more draft capital.

This team needs 5 to 6 starters at least to change the trajectory
This Team needs a GM that has a clue, but carry on.....

On top of that, another issue is we know damned well that when el cheapo gets on the phone with these agents he is going to be lowballing every one of them.
