All position can't be filled with Tier one free agents, if we come away with legitimate starters thats a win

Why can't they get Myles Garrett and a couple of the 2nd tier players Everybody else, in the meantime is getting the blue chip players why Jerry and son is picking up bread drums. Happens every year.

Who said all positions? The goal is to be opportunistic REGARDLESS of arbitrary labels.

OK, was Sequon - by dollar amount - a "tier 1" free agent last year? How about D. Henry? These labels the team comes up with are misleading and useless.

Does that make him elite?
Some could say that is how weak FA is this year. Depending if one wants to be negative or not.
Give me the 3rd or 4th round comp pick in 2026 instead.

I like him, but not at that price. They can get 2 equally productive players at other positions that will be of more value for the holes that need to be filled.
Then draft a top DL.

He is young and healthy. Calvin Watkins just said that they may get him under the 21 million market value. He said Osa wants to stay in Dallas.

They can still sign other players. Osa is a good signing and is one of the top free agents in this class. Calvin Watkins just said that they may sign him under the 21 million market value.

Stat production isn’t there, I hope he hasn’t reached his ceiling yet.
 
Free agency is fine. But the draft is still where good teams separate themselves from the mediocre and bad.

I think his production was much better than you think this past season. He certainly is a fit on this team that still needs 2 more dtackles.

Let him go and go after Myles Garrett. They can get more DTs in the draft.

Nope, you let him go and you need 3 more dtackles. They let guys walk last year and that put Washington in the playoffs and knocked Dallas out.

Is he worth the money. Before this offer was made, all they talked about was that he wasn't worth the money. Which is it? It makes me suspicious as to whether they know what they are doing.
 
That is what they call the Steve-o Cheapo Special: my term for the low value two year deals after the first wave of VFA. That is business as usual.

I especially like how they are doing the same thing but calling it something different.
 
Selectively aggressive and tier 2 is like choosing where to eat.

Tier 1 is sit down establishment, great food, and expensive.

Tier 2 is like Golden Corral, Chili's, or
Jalapeno Tree where the prices are affordable and the food is okay to good.

It's a step above the McDonald's drive thru we normally eat at classified as Tier 3 thru bottom of the barrel.
