Fish: Cowboys do plan to spend on tier 2 free agents

What was Henry considered last year? I considered him a tier 1 RB, but he wasn't priced that high. That's the level of talent vs cost they should look for.

If ‘all in’ meant tier 5 free agents last year, I can only cringe when they say, ‘tier 2’ this time around.

I love when "Jerry's Kids" apologize for him and then have no way to explain other teams being aggressive other than "they're going to pay for this later...". Yeah...you mean like after another SB win?

My guess for a while has been that they pick up Stefon Diggs. I would think he is considered a tier 2 type. Big enough name for Jerry to say he made a splash in FA, but also coming off an injury year and is 32 years old so that he wont cost a ton of money either. Maybe a 2 year/$30M type of deal?
I certainly would not be in favor. I also think #4 would be opposed as he knows Stefon has been fussy with far better QB's.

I dont disagree, he wouldnt be my first choice. Diggs just feels like a Jerry type of move. Big name that will grab headlines, but should come at a discounted rate.

Is he worth the money. Before this offer was made, all they talked about was that he wasn't worth the money. Which is it? It makes me suspicious as to whether they know what they are doing.
I agree and feel like we are trapped since mazi is looking like a complete bust. There is no one on the roster now who is even remotely close to osa

Yep, I've read here many many times that paying one player 60 million doesn't affect the ability to aquire top free agents
Y’all gotta stop letting this team make y’all believe this. It’s the cap hit that matters. And even then they have the money.

When do they become "tier 2"? Is that when the Cowboys sign them?

To me, tier 2 is a solid starter, a former day 1 or day 2 draft pick.

To the Cowboys.....probably a former undrafted free agent that started a handful of games when the regular starter was injured.
