Mike Fisher in a loooong winded explanation ( needs to fill air time) shares how Micah Parsons is recruiting.

Thing is Dallas fans, that do not have their head in the sand OR buys Jerry's FOOLS GOLD each season, knew the "THE" Problem
with this franchise.

I think Micah has been recruiting every year that he's been here, but he doesn't seem to understand that the Joneses are not going to pay what it takes to bring in the players he's recruiting.

I’ve never seen the Jones family have an issue paying for what they want. It has nothing to do with money, maybe they don’t like the personality of the player. Just because a player wants a player doesn’t mean a damn thing.

The trouble is they don't want any outside free agent asking for more than $3 million a year.

In 2025? No the Cowboys name carries no weight at all today. People acting like things that happened 30 years ago somehow these players that are MAYBE 26-28 care about exactly 0 for.

I guess I’m a grumpy old man but things were a lot better when crap like this didn’t exist.

Today's World is loaded with "LOOK AT ME". From posting what your eating, telling others what you are doing all the time. And for the most part, people really don't care but people want/try to be treated like popular/famous. They want to be treated like a Hollywood person. Walking the red carpet and standing there with your thousand dollar(s) clothing, have to wear dark sunglasses and pose as the media takes zillion of photos of you.

Players come to Dallas for this kind of culture.

Hasn’t sports talk radio been around a long time? The format has changed with how sports talk can be distributed and listened to. But it’s essentially the same thing at the end of the day, isn’t it?

Or do you mean like social media? In which case. Social media definitely has its drawbacks as a society.

The culture sure has changed.

The argument I would make is… every team in the NFL is working under the same conditions. Yet there are other franchises that can still consistently excel despite these additional outside pressures.

So what’s the cowboys excuse?

Our problem is the GM and owner is the ring leader of this type of culture and doesn’t actually care about winning. Jerry is taking in extra billions thanks to social media.

Yeah the latter. I liked it better when I was starving for more Cowboys info. Now it’s about if players care more about their brand than winning. I don’t care to decide and it was more pleasant when it wasn’t a topic.

I'm sure he means social media....I for one am tired of the social mediots, that use the platform to spread hate and propaganda, knowing they can hide behind their screen.. Social media, can be a great thing, bringing family and friends together, sharing important news and information, but, but, but.....in the wrong hands, it turns to crap, like many other things do.
