Fish: Major trade for backup QB hinted by Stephen Jones

If Rattler can minimize the turnovers, he's pretty good. High upside. Howell has a lot of starts under his belt and did better than expected in my opinion. He's just needing coaching, reps, and the right system around him.

Yeah, and Jerry has already said they’re planning on drafting a QB this year.

If they were hellbent on spending a 3rd round pick on a QB, I’d be totally fine if they traded for Milton instead, because this draft class is really bad for QBs. After Ward, every prospect has some sort of big question mark.
You're not wrong, but this is where I struggle....Does Milton not come with some significant question marks too? Not that late rounders can't have success in the NFL, but he was a 6th round pick for a reason. He is already down a year on his rookie deal so his deal actually expires before Daks does. I guess this is where you're scouts really make their money, but wouldnt it make more sense if you are going to gamble to do so one a guy coming out of this draft where you get a full rookie deal to evaluate him? Then if you do want to move on from Dak after 2026 you have a year of rookie contract to offset some of that cap hit Dak will leave behind.

Also love Howell's leadership.......

The fact that Stephen said something makes me think it’s not Milton. If I was New England I would continue to have Maye be challenged by Milton. Until some foolish team gives me what I want. We all know the Cowboys will eventually fold and give up a 3rd.

Wildcat Jerry is long gone. Stephen aka several aliases like Booger, is seeing if he can redeem his book of green stamps for a QB so he can say to the fans , SEE look at me. Problem is he sucks at his job. But every now and then he strikes paydirt, gets a reprieve. Let's see if we get lucky.

Lol at a back qb being a major move
Exactly... how can a backup be considered major anything unless they're referring to "major" overpay that Stephen/JJ are expected to give up for them. Hopefully it's like a 7th cause enough has already been invested in the qb position.

NFL teams probably lining up to make offers to fleece “Birth Certificate” Jones and his 82 year old pop. They are the opposite of shrewd when it comes to trades.
Bobby, you're killing me bro!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would say give up a 5th rounder for Milton ONLY because that means Jones wouldnt of went entirely off the deep end with any talk of a 3rd rounder for him, but you know what? with the Jones, I would not at all be surprised if they came out in the next few days and said we are giving them a 3rd for Milton and that is sad. Not a GM in this entire league would do that, but I feel ours would.

Please, for the sake of us obviously die hard fans, don't do anything for Milton and grab a rookie in the draft, but if you have to at most a 5th rounder for Milton.
