I watched the documentary last year about the Jones' and the team and there is no question that Jerra and the family want to win, he wants a Championship for his ever growing family and you can hear it in his voice that it really does hurt him in his heart that they aren't winning and have not won in so long! I don't question his want but as we've all witnessed since the 1990's, this organization is poorly run from a winning football perspective! And yes, they own the most lucrative sports team in history, so good for them but we the fans who have been bleeding blue for so many years want just one thing, TO WIN! It's been 31 seasons since they have been to a NFC Conference final! It's almost unfathomable! Every year we hear about and see all of the changes, we hear about the rookies they draft and the free agents they've acquired and the trades that are made or maybe a coaching change and then we listen to the Jones' and the coaches talk in the off season about how they really like this team and how they love this locker room! And we all get excited again and think yeah, I see the vision and this is going to be OUR year that we begin to turn it around. And then what happens every single year, the top rookies they draft usually don't hit or the free agents they acquire under perform and the trades they make mostly don't work out as well. And we're left with Dak being as congenial at the podium as a losing QB can be, we hear Coaches (Shotty) making statements like "the way we played today obviously isn't up to OUR standard" (what standard?) and players who we all thought we're going to lead us to the promise land are either not as good as they all thought they were or they're not getting the coaching they should at an NFL standard and/or both. So with all of this, we all know what the constant is, it's The Jones'! The only titles they have ever won was when Jimmy Johnson was running the show because he was relentless in making players better, he was relentless about every detail, he was relentless about winning and doing everything that it took so much so that many times he broke players to the point they couldn't take it any longer so they quit as those players weren't "up to the standard" and were not Jimmy Johnson's Dallas Cowboys! The Jones' are arrogant about their football I.Q. and they simply lack the knowledge to evaluate talent, they lack the knowledge to hire coaches, they lack whatever those things are that produces Championships and again, if it weren't for Jimmy, they wouldn't have won one Super Bowl Trophy that are tucked in their trophy case! So sit back folks because this story unfortunately isn't going to change, unless, #1. The Jones' sell the team, (and that ain't gonna happen) or #2. They turn the entire football operations over to a FOOTBALL operations guy at the GM position (and that probably will never happen either)! So when Jerra one day leaves this earth and Stephan takes over ,that fish will still be there and it will still stink from the head down!
