Twitter: Fisher: Escobar tidbit

Ok...................... It was pretty much a forgone conclusion he played his last down in a Cowboys uniform.

Can we trade past draft picks? Gotta be some team dumb enough to take 3 wasted 2nd round picks off our hands.

We actually need a Tight end now but everyone knew at the time that Escobar was just another wasted pick.

Sounds like an easy decision.
wait, there is a team in San Diego?

We really haven't been drafting well under Garrett. Somebody should do something about it.

My point was that one was all him. He doesn't pick any of these guys but he wanted him.

Shame on taking him in the 2nd and shame we could not use him. He was a pass catching machine in college and had a few of those plays with the cowboys but too little. I have to believe he would have been better in a different system where they just wanted him as a pass catching TE and not a blocking TE.

Exactly.............he was a pass catching TE that was asked to mainly block.

Just another example of our top notch coaching staff not being able to figure out how to properly use a player.

Relax everyone. He's just getting an early start for training camp at Oxnard.

Did anyone actually believe that they were going to entertain the idea of bringing him back? He was so buried on the roster by the end of the year, it wasn't even funny.

The talent depth on this roster at every position is just mind blowing

Escobar never had a chance

He wasn't great but he never had a chance. Never used him right. He's not the only Tight End in the NFL that isn't a good blocker

There is some truth to this. I don't think we expected another four productive years from Witten
