There could be two sides to that coin. In October, we looked like a somewhat formidable football team. Jerry probably didn't know Garrett was getting the axe at that time. It's more clear now.

Why are people still hung up on the jets game? The jets are just as good/bad as Dallas. If they had darnold all year or their backup they probably finish 8-8 or 9-7. Being forced to play a month with your third string qb and losing your prized defensive free agent for the year killed their season.

If they beat the bills today they will be 7-9 and played 4 games without darnold.
