That is a HUGE move up by New Orleans. I think the odds are pretty long that any team will want to slide that far back. The Saints will have to give up a ****-ton to make that jump. I just can’t see it happening.
Ya its more than they moved up in 2018 for Davenport. I think that was 13 slots

Agreed, but if they decide to trade Hill and take a shot with Winston? Would a team be willing to get Hill, a somewhat proven commodity, over a raw rookie like Lance?

Don't think that's happening either, but I wouldn't be totally shocked. Saints have lost a LOT of defensive players in the last year....
I don’t think Sean Payton would trade hill. Payton loves Hill like a fat kid loves candy.

But he loves winning more than Hill. He's got a SB win, sure but when talking about "great" NFL coaches, having multiple SBs really bumps up your respect level....

Yeah, unless players are involved.....
Probably this year's 1st (pk 28) and 2nd (60) and next year's 1st....get's them to the 8-9 range

Now if they're thinking of moving Michael Thomas--which would not shock me-- then it changes some.

Bingo.. if people have not seen that penalties that go uncalled on other teams get flagged all the time in Dallas then they simply haven't been paying attention. Denying reality does nothing to change it.. I am okay with either corner but my preference is Surtain because I worry that Horn's career will never get out of the gate in Dallas. He already has a reputation for drawing flags and once the NFL refs put that label on him he's toast.. Pun intended.
I wouldn’t worry. If fisher is saying the lean is for horn. It means we’re drafting a OT lol. He’s never right

On the NFL Network this morning they said that Horn has spent a lot of time with the Dallas coaches but especially Quinn. Quinn said that the coverage scheme that Horn ran in S Carolina was similar to what he’d be doing in Dallas for Quinn. The verbiage that the S Carolina defense uses is very similar as well and Horn should be able to hit the ground running if he is the guy.

I’m fine with Horn, and I might even prefer him... and I’ve been a huge Surtain fan in this whole pre-draft process. I wanted Surtain over Farley back when Farley was considered a top 10 guy. I think Surtain is a very good player.

Basically, I see Horn and Surtain as 1a and 1b at CB. I pretty much view them as even but I for sure love Horns athleticism and his alpha attitude. WR’s hate playing against him.

So, if Dallas decides to go with Horn, then I’m good with it. If they go Surtain, I’ll be happy there too.

I feel the same but have them flipped.

Surtain is my 1a and Horn my 1b.

1. Fish doesn't know anything
2. I'm really fine with either - I would love to get someone like LAC a bit itchy to jump up for an OT like Slater/Darrishaw, nab an additional 2nd by trading down a few slots and still get one (assuming NYG/PHI get some overflow WR help). Possible if both are on the board at 10, risky if one gets snagged by CAR/DEN.

Horn already has been called. A lot.
The former Gamecock was flagged for five penalties this past season on 466 snaps. Honestly, I never felt that being too grabby would be an issue for Horn at the next level.

I don't think they have the sugar to move up that far and nobody is going to want to move down, much further then 15. That's about where the line of demarcation false. I don't see a lot of teams being big on trading down to 28. You would have to have a lot of 2nd and 3rd round ammo to throw in on a trade like that or, be willing to trade high future picks.

Now, having said that, we could be a team who might be able to do that. We have a QB. We have plenty of skilled players. We really need Defensive help and the strength of this draft is really in rounds 3, 4 and 5 Defensively. This would be ideal for us IMO. Lots of players I like in those rounds on both sides of the ball.

They got the stones to do. They have up pick 27 and a fifth along with a 2019 1st to get to 14 in 2018

Sherman would have been called for a lot of penalties in Dallas so will Horn

Been saying the entire draft process he's a very aggressive grabby player that will not fly in the NFL spot fouls galore is what you're getting at 10 if you go with Horn

The DAL-NO trade I worked out was:

10+115 for 28+60+2022 1st round pick

And that's to get to the back of the top ten. To get to around 7, they'd have to add at least 98. To get higher, they'd be trading multiple future high picks.
