Albert’s actions on the field were unacceptable. I have not seen the play. I have only been told of the play. If the league doesn’t handle it appropriately or if the league doesn’t handle it, the club will also handle it from a disciplinary standpoint. I will not go into that now, I have to see it. But he will be disciplined for his actions on the field. There is no place for that type of conduct. I apologize to the Cowboys, to the player, and the Cowboys organization for his conduct.

These comments were made in his post-game press conference before Fisher had any time to see the tape of the incident. I think his comments are about as classy a response as can be given under the circumstances.

Fisher's career has been an interesting story. He was basicly thrown to the wolves by "Bottom Line Bud" when he was hired but you have to respect the way he has grown into the position.

I gotta say pretty classy move by Fisher. No BS, took responsibility without making any cliche remarks (Oh, it was in the heat of the battle).

not to rekindle the fun-filled debate hos had yesterday, but if fisher didn't see it but could comment on what he was told, how come parcells went "3 monkies" on us (see no haynes, hear no haynes, and speak no haynes) and couldn't even say more than his theme for this year "i don't know, i'm just the coach..."

parcells does seem to rely on "catch phrases" to pass off a lot of questions and this just seems to be this years tactic. awhile back it was "best chance to win!".

it's just his irritating way.

I expected that response from Fisher the guy has always been a class person. While he was a hardnosed player he was not a cheap shot artist and what Haynesworth did there is no room in professional sports for that kind of act.

I have no clue why that bugs people so much.

If he didn't see it and wants to wait till he does...I see nothing wrong with it.

If he just doesn't want to talk about it and uses that as a deflection I see nothing wrong with it either.

If he wants to jump up on the podium and tell Alberta that he thinks he is a sneaky coward...so be it.

I just don't see why people wig out about what Bill does not say.

SO WHAT!

Did somebody tell Fisher that Al stepped on TO's face??

Fisher told Parcells after the game that he would handle it. I think Parcells may just be respecting Fisher's position... it's kinda old-school if you think about it.

Pretty much how I see it as well. BP could have gone off about it but what good would it do? Fisher as the players head coach can do a lot about it. Lets see what punishment Fisher hands down.

Realy I think that some folks take this as Bill not caring. Hearing players talk about Bill, I think you'd be hard pressed to believe that.

Bill wants players to focus and concentrate on the game. If the players are thinking about Haynesworth then they aren't concentrating on Philly.

True. The bad part is will Gurode be able to play next week? Where he got stitches will be very easy to reopen and I'm not sure even extra padding will prevent it from opening backup.

I have always been a big Jeff Fisher fan. In a couple of years he will have that team turn around if given the chance

Apples and oranges. It's Fisher's job to discipline his own players.

oh, i'd not call me "wigging out" - i'm just tired of him grabbing any "line" he can and using that as a defense in place of actually answering a question or two. i hated "best chance to win" as not only was it crap, but it was what he used any time he made a decision. then it filtered into here and hell, you couldn't argue a move without parkeets coming out and saying "best chance to win" cause they saw it on TV.

in all i really don't care but i do feel that it's the coaches job to answer questions as best he can. this "i didnt' see it, i'm just the coach" we all know is garbage. no one farts on that team w/o bp being involved or knowing who let it slide yet know he's "just the coach"

gets old to see your coach use 1-liners to avoid questions.

so. who the hell said a THING about discipline? i sure didn't. all i said was parcells 1 liners was old and i just don't buy them.

if people are gonna slap back i wish they'd pay attention to the topic at hand and not change it and slap what was never said as if i did.

now i see why hos got so bent last night in trying to reply to people.

Because it is being handled by the Titans Organizatrion. Why make any comments on something he has no input into or authority on? Parcells chooses his battles this is one he did not choose to fight because it is already being fought.

Are you always trying to stir the pot??? Parcells does not have to tell you anything, that is NOT his job. His job is to coach this team. If he wasn;t doing that I am sure you would make a post about "why isn't parcells coaching his team, instead of conducting interviews."

Take a deep breath chill out man!!! Chill out!!!

then say "they're going to handle it and i trust the league will do that it takes to ensure things like this are not part of the game".

instead we get the "duh...i know nothing" patrol.

um...i'm pretty chilled dude. how come it's so hard just to make casual convo w/o people thinking i'm in some panic attack over here?

then he can say "fisher is taking care of it..." like i said, my "gripe" is his overall desire to use 1 liners for answers to dismiss questions.

Good. I'd prefer that to him grandstanding about how classless the guy is. Some people forget that others don't care about their soapboxes. (subtle jab)

great, then don't respond to them as if you do. and please, i've given a couple of examples of what *i* feel would be solid comments - do either of those grandstand? no - they just say "i trust fisher will handle it from the team end and the NFL will from the league end" - that's all he had to say. how that gets to "grandstanding" i'll never know.
