I have never seen a momentum and game changing punt in my entire life.

I have. A punt that pins a team back near their own one yard line -- yeah, I've seen that make a big difference in the form of a stalled drive that gives you great field position or in the form of a safety. It's important to have a good punter.

(Brits are probably laughing at this. In British English a punter is a man who sleeps with a prostitute.)

There we go again. An inability to say "goodbye" to aging players.
Hatch is one example.

I admire how other teams can waive players and reload. We, on the other hand, wring our hands and shed tears of indecision and, finally, when a player is so terrible we can't stand it, let him go.

I say we need a VP of Letting Go Aged Veterans.

Youth is the way. Age is soooo yesterday.

No way..

This team is going nowhere.

It's time to start thinking about getting more cap room so the next coaching staff doesn't inherit a mess.

Dallas needs to be in overhaul mode because we aren't doing anything with this same group.

What Dallas needs to be and what they'll do are two different things.

Bailey and Jones. Let the rest walk. Mack Bernadeau proved all I need to see to hold down that starting Right Guard spot.

That does not mean I still don't draft Xavier Su'a-Filo in May, but Brian Waters is not worth the cap dollars it would require when he doesn't necessarily add too much to the offensive line in terms of play, and when he's much, much older and would further stifle Bernadeau's development.

Not sims. He's absolutely terrible. He completely sucks. It's beyond me how our staff, no matter how bad Bruce looked, decided to play this guy.

Probably bc Bruce sucked. The guy can't get off blocks to save his life. Blockers put theirs paws on his chest and drive him wherever they want him to go. Like a steering wheel.

Yet he was 2nd in tackles. Last year 2nd in the league in a tackle stat that ranks tackles that should be made. Can't remember its name- pff stat. This scheme confused and misused him.
At least blockers have to block him. Unlike sims who can be counted on to overrun or flat out misplay almost run or pass.

Bruce has all the physical tools. He looks the part more than sims. But I think sims is obviously much smarter than Bruce and/or puts forth more effort than Bruce. That's the only explanation as to why Bruce sucked this year and was benched for sims.

My explanation would be a poor coaching decision. Typical of this staff. Other years, and Sims this year, they let players routinely stink. They choose to make an example of Bruce. Stupid decision IMO. He had a couple of bad plays. Before the benching he was one of our tackle and sack leaders.
I wish I could remember the game. Maybe Detroit? Sims was absolutely exposed and one play was badly juked by a non athletic qb for a crucial td.
He's not good.
Late as usual these geniuses making the decisions will see thay and he won't make the team next year.

None of these players are essential, including Chris Jones.

We can find cheap replacements if we had someone with a good eye for talent.
