I suggest 3 is speculation.

5 is the fan seeing an open man, but perhaps Dak didn't. You assume a great deal when you get a replay without defensive linemen in your living room trying to break your legs.
The Cowboys defense was put to the test right out of the gate when the Chargers marched down to the Dallas 7-yard line. But on fourth-and-1, Herbert's pass to wideout Joshua Palmer in the end zone was broken up by cornerback DaRon Bland, giving Dallas possession.

The Dallas secondary is tough to control by opponents!

No team wants Gallup in a trade. He's a guy you keep till the end of the year and then cut.

I don't get ignoring the TE routes recently. It was like after they dropped some balls in NY that was it lol.

You are saying that these are "indisputable facts". Isn't that a little strong?

They are your personal observations. However, are you sure they are unbiased? Your descriptions are a little vague and you offer no measurable standard.

For example, you call Gallup is a "bum" and then seem to define that as not being able to get open and catch anything. However, he has now caught 18 passes for over 200 yards. He is ranked #48 in receptions. If you consider that the first 32 receivers are pretty much the #1 receivers and subtract them from the list then this leaves Gallup at #16 among all #2 receivers. He is in the middle of the pack.

Therefore, you seem to be implying that half of the 32 starting #2 receivers in the NFL are bums.

If Gallup continues the same productivity throughout the season then he will have around 50 receptions for 600 yards. It's not impressive, it's average, but I wouldn't say it's worthy of being labeled a bum, especially if it's claimed an indisputable fact.
Myself, despite 20 penalties, there was strong directional showing through the team. Prescott looked socially redeemable and I appreciated his returned ability to extend plays again with his feet!

4-2 is significant at this point in the Dallas season.

My indisputable fact, we are gonna finish the season 4 -7 missing the Playoffs.
Goodbye to MM and a handful of players, trade Parsons, draft a QB

Fourth Quarter
And then lightning struck. On the first play of the final frame, facing a third-and-11 at their own 24, Prescott spun out of pressure and found releasing running back Tony Pollard, who then spun out of a tackle and raced 60 yards to the Chargers' 16-yard line. That marked the longest play from scrimmage for the Cowboys this season.

Four plays later, Dallas was in the end zone. From the 2-yard line, Prescott dropped a perfect floater into Brandin Cooks for the touchdown and another lead.

This team plays like they didn't practice all week.
1. Gallup needs to be benched.
2. The Oline is below avg at run and pass blocking.
3. Lacking discipline! Way too many penalties and Refs contributed by calling borderline calls.
4. Coaching on offensive side of the ball is questionable. Oline coach needs to be on hot seat.
5. Dak had a decent game considering he was under a lot pressure. He needs to get rid of the ball instead of taking the sacks. I think he should be given two reads and that's it. He improvised and created some great plays though. Finding Pollard was a great play. I liked his first TD his ball fake fooled everyone. I just thought another Pollard stuffed run.

They got the win and that's all that matters but this was the Chargers. This is the type of game I would of expected against the niners but to be honest the Cowboys are not as good as most people think they are.

Oh one last thing. Why does this team appear offensively tired and slow often?

1) The Cowboys OL and running game are not scaring anyone.
2) Overall, the Cowboys lack smarts and discipline. Way too many mental errors, tight officiating or not.
3) Dak is still a sneaky good runner. They need to embrace that aspect of his game.
4) The Cowboys defense gets no push up the middle.
5) They have a lot of work to do over the bye week.

IMO: this was just 2 evenly matched teams...on offense and defense....they are built very similar and it showed last night.... a very tight game with one or two plays making the difference.

What it did show me was...how and who the Cowboys measure up to...Cowboys are better suited to win against under 500 teams and are evenly matched against teams like Las Vegas, San Diego, but are out matched by KC,SF, Buff, and others.

Cowboys are just not the dominate team, they are middle of the pack with the arrow pointing sideways.

Top class cop out...examine the points that were actual momentum changers and the causes for those.

This team is no one's red headed step son without inheritance rights...I wonder how one is carrying doubts around since pre-season.

Didn't even notice a tough defense evolving intensely with some young additions earning some dependable respect along the way, huh...I can't wait until some of you guys get the nerve up to pass out some attaboys.

1) This is a severely undisciplined team with all the penalties and offsides
2) This offensive line is no longer able to pass block or run block
3) Micha Parsons, despite the last big play in LAC game, has become a non factor in games suggesting a 2023 slump
4) Gallup is a bum, cannot get open and cannot catch anything. He should be trade immediately. Cooks was amazing, enter Tolbert
5) Dak is really incapable of finding the open man downfield (Ferguson down the seam wide open for 6) when he was not harassed

bonus observation: these refs nitpicked dallas and not LAC on pass interference calls. It is so blatantly obvious that the same metric was not equivalent for both teams.
Other than perhaps #1, these are opinions to which we are all entitled. But I dispute #2-5 as “indisputable facts”. These are opinions.

Shultz was targeted 93 times on average the last 3 years or 5+ times per game. Previously Witten was most likely even more than that.

Ferguson, who is a bigger target, has good hands and is a much better YAC player than both gets targeted less than twice per game.

In a cover 2 defense the middle of the field is wide open, but we have no clue on how to attack the zone with a more than capable TE.
Schultz consistently got open more than fights on

Eh Micah is getting double teamed a lot and Dallas is using him differently. When he is doubled, it’s on defensive coach to take advantage of that.

Ive got 5 more facts

1) Dak showed he can step up as the general of this team. He is an exceptional quarterback and a true leader on and off the football field. His dedication, work ethic, and resilience are truly commendable. He has consistently showcased his skills, determination, and ability to lead the Dallas Cowboys to success.

2) The eagles are not as good as they say they are. We will have a better than good shot at winning the division.

3) Jerry Jones is a visionary owner and an integral part of the Dallas Cowboys' legacy. We are competitive almost every year and are always in position to make a superbowl run.

4) Parsons is going to step up and be great down the stretch. His combination of speed, strength, and football IQ is truly remarkable, making him a force to be reckoned with on the field.

5) The Cowboys will go to the superbowl this year. You can Book It

3. Looks like he's getting more attention which frees up other guys. Those other guys responded last night.
Your bonus observation is wrong. They called it tough on both sides. They missed calls on both sides too and really only losers blame the refs.

I think this team has a real good shot at beating most JV teams IF they clean up their penalties.

Where are the JV championships being held this year?

Nothing about this team inspires any confidence at a pro level at the moment.

Last night the Chargers got completely gifted 7 points by the refs. The punt should have been illegal hands to the face at a minimum. Since it was the charger that hit Turpin, it should have been interference on top of that. On top of those two ref mistakes, the Gilmore interference was ridiculous. If that gets called the same both ways, Dallas scores a lot more since LA was handsy all night.

Now you are down to 10 points for the Chargers. To get those 10 points, they were on the field constantly with great field position several times.
What I am getting to is that
6) Outside of the SF game, the defense is really good.

I look at it this way, they won despite some bad breaks going against them. Some of the penalties, like the Parsons offsides call were BS. Parsons was not offsides. I thought the PI on Gilmore was very ticky-tack too. But the two defensive plays with 12 men on the field were inexcusable. They need to clean that up.

Still, if not for the muffed punt play, which I think was a bad break for Dallas for a couple of reasons, the defense would have held the Chargers to 10 points. The Cowboys should have put this game away and won at least 23 to 10. It was not their best effort but a win is a win.

I know some people might say that Herbert missing a few throws for big plays was lucky for Dallas, but with a pressure rate of almost 50%, Dallas made that luck. Herbert was clearly bothered by the pressure.

On the other hand, it is obvious the OL needs to play better. I have not idea what the problem is but Dak is getting too much pressure and there is nothing in the running game. Give Dak credit, he found some gaps to run through and used his legs to create opportunities. He save teh offensive line from total embarrassment.
