Posted by Aaron Wilson on April 15, 2009, 2:04 p.m.
The Philadelphia Eagles have already conquered their first blitz package this year.
According to Peter Mucha of the Philadelphia Inquirer, five Villanova students were arrested today after trying to steal a bolted seat from Lincoln Financial Field. They also stowed a souvenir stand sign inside of their BMW SUV.
The students, ages 18 to 19, were caught on surveillance video at roughly 3 a.m., breaking into the Eagles’ stadium.
According to police, several of the intruders managed to escape.
The five men who were ultimately apprehended and charged with criminal conspiracy, burglary, criminal trespass and theft, among other charges, are: Daniel Papa, Mack Ioannadis, Dylan Carroll, Taylor Halstead and William Clarke.
Per police, the men didn’t resist arrest and seemed to be sober.
