Randy Gregory, LB, Dallas Cowboys
The last time a defensive ROY was picked later than Gregory was (No. 60 overall) was Erik McMillan, whom the New York Jets drafted in 1988 at No. 63 overall. Still, Gregory's slip in the draft had more to do with character concerns than what he can do on the field. He just might prove to be the best pass rusher in the entire draft, and if that's the case he's a major threat for the honor. He's in a big market playing for "America's team," so there will be no shortage of attention on him. If he delivers, he'll be in the conversation.

I can not say I have done research, but I bet sacks>anything else for ROY.

With the way the Jets are structured...
I would think this is the best chance.

I wouldn't say it is just sacks, it really is impact on defense, which is generally felt among the front seven.

The last DB to win it was Charles Woodson.

Generally will go to a linebacker, defensive end, or defensive tackle.

I would say that Gregory has an excellent shot at it given his position and the limelight he will be in on this defense. The negatives might just be the amount of playing time he gets. We'll see how much he plays in this rotation.

Dallas Cowboys have never had a DROY.
