Fix the blocking issues and the Offense will thrive

This is horrible. If the Oline gets their run and pass blocking issues fixed, Dak, Zeke and this Offense will thrive. It starts in the trenches. So far, after Week 1, this Oline has looked lost/confused/beat and very porous. Guys are either missing their blocking assignments or plain getting beat. Good thing the season barely started, so they have time to get it right, but this Offense will go according to how the Oline goes.

Looks like he had the first guy inside and when the D Lineman stunted he became the first man inside but somehow Zack Martin was smart enough to still see it and 55 went unblocked.

Gotta give credit to the Panthers coaches for confusing our guys. That's a tough play.

Paul Anderson? I so hope not.

That was a bad play to be sure. They'll get it sorted out.

Obviously, the problem there was Zeke being fat and slow. It had nothing to do with Keuchly standing in the hole completely unblocked and no room to either side of him.

The line is a mess but you are expecting too much when you want them to block 7 or 8 guys every play. There will be no running room until we can throw consistently. Ain’t happening with Dak.

Opposing teams have had the same game plan against Dak for a while now. Make him beat you. He almost always can not.

That gif looks more like the defense knew what was coming. La'el's man crashed hard inside and forced La'el to set the edge and Keukly filled the hole. Zach chipped inside and turned to the crashing defender but doesn't have position and the defender can fill the hole even if La'el gets to the mlb. Even Tyron's guy saw it, disengaged and trailed to back up the play. That's not a missed assignment, that's a defense playing the play perfectly.

It looks like the play where they bring two across the formation (77 and 70?) Panthers are sitting on that and blow it up. I think Collins has his man as the two coming around are suppose to take the hole but they don't get close. Its such a mess that its hard to tell.

Sure the OL needs practice
After all they've only had 2 months.
But it isn't going to get much better until our offense isn't read like a book.

It's a well disciplined defense executing their assignments to perfection. No need to, "know what was coming," so much as make your reads and fill your gaps.

And Collins looks lost. Watch again. He's going right at the snap. Keuchly isn't the guy filling the hole, either. That's #55, whoever he is.

Is there a team in the NFL whose offense is NOT dependent on the OL play?

Dak held the ball on average for 3.1 seconds which is way higher than the NFL average of 2.54 seconds. He's holding onto the ball b/c either nobody is open or he can't see them open. Either way, that is not on the OL. What is on the OL are the penalties. They need to cut that down.

Looks like a zone block by how everyone, including Collins, starts off going right. The FB was assigned the outside LB so Collins just hits the guy who crashed inside without looking for a second level block.

It's the offense folks. What other proof do you need? Kuechly knew the plays and what was coming. Only time it changed is when we went spread and it looked exciting for a change.....outside of the stupid long routes!!
