not sure there is any thing that will fix the cowboys any more have watched for a long time and each year every thing seems to continue to stay the same pretty much given up on them
And in reality, Jerry has never, ever done the real work of an NFL GM. Doing that job right requires a full time commitment of studying players, film, talking to coaches, prepping for personnel acquisitions in addition to the draft...the list could go on.That could easily be the case.
When Jerry first ran Jimmy off, I couldn't really believe what I was seeing. For years, I really didn't believe Jerry could be that bad. And now, man I tell ya, if you don't believe he's a terrible GM, you're either having brain issues or are in some sort of weird denial.
Hard to believe, our Cowboys have played 180 minutes of football in 3 games, yet have only had the lead for 13 of those 180 minutes. This has a big influence on how you are able to play.
For everyone criticizing the playcalling and not running the ball enough, it’s pretty hard to use the ground game effectively when you’re down 2-3 scores in the second half of games. And the passing game has actually been very good, enabling us to come back to take the lead in both the Atl and Sea games. In fact, the Cowboys had TD drives of 94 and 89 yards against Sea in the second half.
So here’s the fix-
Sure it’s easier said than done, but for everyone mad at the playcalling, again it’s hard to assert your running game when you’re down two scores in the second half.
- Score first- or at least don’t fall two scores behind in the first qtr.
- Win the turnover battle.
The first 15 minutes of Sunday’s game with Cle will determine a lot of how this team will be able to put its best foot forward. Falling behind two scores always cuts your game plan in half.
I’m trying to decide if we are passing well in the second half because we are behind or if things start to click in the second half. Processing... processing....processing....Hard to believe, our Cowboys have played 180 minutes of football in 3 games, yet have only had the lead for 13 of those 180 minutes. Brilliant. Well played."Fix: score more points."
Yeah. That generally does it.
Actually, that method keeps getting tried, and keeps losing to "Keep the other team from scoring"."Fix: score more points."
Yeah. That generally does it.
He's publicly admitted he doesn't. Which makes it even more confusing when people defend him.And in reality, Jerry has never, ever done the real work of an NFL GM. Jerry has never put in a full time commitment on being a GM because he has so many other jobs. And he does delegate a lot to Will McClay and Stephen. While most GMs are working their tails off, Jerry is often negotiating the next boxing match, concert or tractor pull at the stayjum, or filming his next pizza commercial doing some embarrassing video.
The bottom line is, Jerry just wants to “play GM”, have the title, win some glory and street cred for himself as a “football guy” when he doesn’t even put in the work required to be the very thing he craves. It’s actually pathetic.
I never quit.We have been for 25 years "fixing" things.. guys.. just for once.. ACCEPT what we are for the love of God. Why are some of you so stubborn!
THE DALLAS COWBOYS ARE A MEDIOCRE TEAM, that will never EVER change as long as the jonses OWN/RUN THIS TEAM.
When the NFL makes rushing TDs only 3 pts rather than 6.The sad part is that it's been proven beyond any doubt that the running game is extremely valuable, but they ignore the evidence and still insist on the running game being worthless.
Good for you.... i am fedup!I never quit.
