Ok, I have an explanation. It's really simple. We have a big oline that gets beat off the ball by fired up and fresh d-linemen and lbs early on. I mean, on running plays. Then, we try to throw and Romo is inaccurate early on. It's true in every one of his starts. His QB rating in 1st quarter is astronomically lower than his other Quarters.
So, Garrett, listen up--We gotta throw early on and we gotta find a way to get romo into the game quicker.
My suggestions:
1) WR and RB screens
2) rollouts
3) Take a deep shot early--like NE did, just bomb it to get some blood pumping.
4) Make him warm up harder--actually break a sweat
5) Called QB draws and or bootlegs
6) reverses
GET ON THIS NOW! It was the biggest reason we lost. We spotted them 14 and then played tied the rest of the game, with a tired D. The game was closer than it looked and if we score once early in the 1st half, it's very possible we're up 24-14 at half (because our D gets less time and less drives on the field, plus another stop from momentum/rest)
